Great computer to play around with embedded programming
As a previous reviewer stated, I was also wary of spyware and boot sector viruses so before I booted to the installed Windows 10 Pro, I booted with a USB drive that had several virus scanning programs installed - none of the scanners reported any viruses on the SATA hard drive. After that, I booted with the installed drive into Windows 10 Pro and I was very surprised how fast everything was. After setting up Windows 10, I replaced the Windows 10 SSD and installed a different SSD and loaded Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.6. Once again I was pleasantly surprised by the speed of the install and all of the components of the computer seem to be recognized and have good drivers. Since I currently program using RHEL 7 and use 5 RS-232 serial ports in my system, this is a great substitute for having to use an old laptop with a USB to 8-port serial adapter that I was using. If I notice anything out of the ordinary, I'll update this review but so far I am very pleased with this purchase.

Weird WiFi Issues.
I've used this mini pc to control my telescope rig for a few months now. it is fast enough to control the camera, telescope mount, and issue small tracking corrections via the autoguider. however recently it has been having wifi issues. sometimes the wifi connection will be so slow I cannot control the telescope remotely. this issue has been really on my nerves lately so I have replaced the it with another mini pc I own. the wifi card is probably loose.3/5 wifi issues (if I fix it the rating will change)

Good mini computer, but not the highest performance!
I used this mini computer and it’s of a good quality. The specs are good, but was expecting higher performance for SSD drive with core i5 and 8gb ram. The system was installed and the admin user was activated. I didn’t like the performance, but still good to use. Will try to keep using for longer time and see any heating or performance issues.

Great so far
So far it has worked great for the past month. I run it 24/7 as a amateur radio (ham) digital monitor station it doesn’t really get warm at all. Pros for me were it runs on 12v so I can run on battery power, no fan to create noise in the shack, lots of USB and RS-232 ports (if you are under 40 ask your parents what these are), and dual HDMI ports. It feels solidly built. No complaints so far.Note: I did see some comments about spyware installed out of the box. It isn’t uncommon with just about every manufacturer where data is such a hot commodity and the Chinese imbed it into everything to include that USB thumb drive you got as free swag at the last work conference. There is a reason the US gov’t and any companies with security in mind don’t allow them. To be safe I wiped it and built the OS from scratch.

While a little unconventional design for it, it makes a great HTPC
This is one of the more interesting kinds of computers that I have used as a Home Theater Personal Computer (HTPC) but it is performing really well. It is a little larger but I am getting performance like I am using a much larger laptop to be a HTPC but this one can slide behind my TV and not be seen. The only things that I have to worry about being seen are the keyboard and mouse (combined and wireless for me). This is a cool little computer that yes, is still packing some DDR3 but it isn't impacting what I need to use it for. Don't mistake this with a gaming computer that will run AAA blockbuster titles from today but it is something that will act as a POS brain for a shop, a HTPC, or just something to use to do light work on. The i5 is more than capable, even if older, and I believe it probably puts a lot of the other smaller computers to shame. An i5 generally pulls head and shoulders beyond a Celeron processor (what a lot of the other small PC's have) and this is some actual good performance. This thing is also seemingly built into a heatsink so the most fun idea, to me, would be to put it under a seat in my car and have a CTPC...but that is more to come and I am not sure I will try it since I work from home and don't commute as much. If I did, this would absolutely be in my vehicle. Nonetheless, this is a great value, it is made well, it was easy to setup, it has a small bit of headroom for some upgrades to the hard drive and maybe the wireless card (I will try to upgrade that). I would love it if there was a way to put a TV tuner in this thing but it seems like no one makes any of those anymore as you have to find some old ones that still have drivers as most seem to stay working only on Windows 7. This is a fun little PC and it has some cool applications for it, I just wouldn't consider it a gaming PC (but you can probably get away with Fortnite on some low settings). I have even seen some videos of people playing Minecraft above 30 FPS on the Intel HD 4400 graphics, which this has.Pros:Easy to setupNot too largeGreat performance for the costGood valueLots of COM ports for POS systems, etcCould fit under many car seats and is seemingly built into a heatsinki5 processor is solidVery good HTPCCons:Limited upgradeabilitySlightly older hardware

Excellent backup computer
I also received in a separate order a portable monitor as well as a portable size keyboard. I have had the blue screen of death a couple of times in the past and I've always tried to have a back up so that I am not without a computer. At my age, I recall not having a computer at all, but today, it would be hard for me to get through the day without working on my laptop. This little desktop computer is perfect for me - it is small and easily stored so that I don't have to have a desk set up with a full-size tower, monitor, keyboard/mouse sitting on it. I have a storage ottoman next to my couch that this computer, the monitor and keyboard/mouse and they are stored in it. I had no trouble getting it up and running after unboxing it, set up what I normally use as well as syncing Opera and Google browser info. What I have been doing is about every 3 days I pull this small computer out, fire it up and ensure that any updates have been made, I work on it for about 30 minutes and then shut it down and store it in the ottoman. This nice little computer is perfect for me - gives me peace of mind and is readily available should my laptop suffer the blue screen of death!
