I purchased this enclosure for a DSP audio filter/amplifier project. I chose this box because it is a clam shell design allowing the removal of the cover while the front and rear panels are still in place. The other feature that I like is that the sides have a slot in them 70mm in width, that is the same width that many prototype printed circuit boards are cut to. I was able to source on Amazon a PCB 70mm x 100mm that fit perfectly. The finish is very strong and the fit up of the panels is perfect. I like this enclosure so much that I bought a second one before I even finished this build. Amazon, PLEASE do not stop offering this enclosure. It's the perfect size for all kinds of ham radio projects.

I used this to enclose a band pass filter, but it would be perfect for a QRP transceiver case, building a balun, or any number of accessories for your ham shack. Good shielding, and the top can be removed without taking the side panels completely off, so you can inspect the board and make hookups.

Really nice for the price. Bought this for a preamp I made. I love the slot for the PCB.

Very clean and easy to incorporate my electronics. I wish it had a couple of plastic end plates included with the metal ones.

I mounted a momentary or push-to-talk lever switch in the box for my ham radio transceiver. It worked out just fine.

Exactly what i needed to enclose switch and rheostat for the blower motor on my iron forge. Makes a clean installation.

The 2 halves do not truly interlock like some other enclosures. The end caps are required to be attached to hold them together. Just be aware of this as it may be an issue for your application.
