Milani Metallic Baked Eyeshadow, I Heart You

Mixes excellently with other reds. I've started using a different applicator so to have a straight wand and which has a softer sponge tip which allows for more color to be picked up. The image is pretty much true to color, and starts off a desert sunset red for lack of better description with their sponge tip, goes much darker the less porous and softer the tool. My personal preference is to use it as a heavy second layer, my base later deciding what direction (pink versus orange in the rose spectrum -- presently using with Bobbie Weiner 'Bloody Mary' red for February/red berry season, they cancel each other out to bring it to a sparkling true red). Alone, it's very appropriate for daily wear without looking morbid (I prefer dressing it up a bit with harsher color). I love it!!

So sad because this is a Beautiful color but you sent me an already open item. The plastic protector was torn already. I don't wear no one's open makeup. BAD BUSINESS

I wish I could still find this in the stores near me. I used to buy these years ago. It's an old formula so it's a bit dryer than the new formula of their shadows but I love the color and shimmer, but if you do buy it be prepared for fall out other than that they're really nice.

I had ordered another Milani eye shadow and was not pleased with it. It did not show up on my eyes. It really looked like it was going to be a cool color, and I was so disappointed. Well I went to return it, and the seller was emailed as to why I wanted to. They refunded my money! No hassles, no messing around with going to the post office and no paying to send it back. They could have been jerks about it. Anyway, when I seen this color, I instantly loved it. Of course I thought of my prior experience and was hesitant to order it, but since the seller took care of me before I took the chance. I'm so glad I did. I love this color. I had been looking for a color like this. I put it on right away with a couple other colors, using this as my outer contour color. So awesome looking! Definitely would recommend this, and it kind of restored a bit of my faith in Milani eye shadows ( love the blushes ) as well as in some sellers. Not all of them are going to do what the one did for me by not having make me mess with the return hassle, ( not sure if it was this seller, if so, thanks! ) but some will.

This is a gorgeous coppery red shadow. It's not for the faint of heart, and might be something to avoid if you're leery of unconventional shades, but it's a lot of fun to play with. Applied dry it's more coppery-red and can blend with other shades (or be worn alone) for a more subtle look, but applied wet, and it's super-vibrant, almost like painting gold leaf on eyelids (albeit a bright red, where hints of pink, red, copper pop out -- it's multifaceted when painted on). It really makes green eyes pop, though there's a danger of looking like an albino rabbit for certain skin tones. But again, it's for for eccentric or striking looks or great for Halloween play. I also use it as a blush, since when it's applied dry it's just a rosy brick red with a bit of shimmer.

This eye shadow is so pretty to look at but somewhat difficult to work with and time consuming. It doesn't show up very well when applied dry. And When applied wet it's more pigmented but its not easy to blend. I find its just too much work to try and get it to look good. The color shown in the picture is pretty accurate... I wanted this to work so bad! I'll gift it to my daughter. She has better makeup skills and patience than I do.

The color is beautiful and intense. I actually use it as a blush for a fresh pop of color. Sparkles but doesn't over power.
