I didn't think that good quality speaker cables would make a difference to sound quality until I installed these. The sound quality definitely improved compared to the cheap hardware store wire I was using before.These appear to be made from solid copper wire. Even though these are heavy 14-guage wire, they are extremely flexible and can easily be routed around corners etc. The insulation is easy to strip back without damaging the wire. I like that they're blue and don't stand out as much as white or black wires.You can pay through the roof for esoteric hifi cables, but these are a good first step for improving the performance of our audio system. Recommended!

I liked working with this cable. Very easy to roll out, dress, and strip. It's soft and stays in place. The strands are very fine and what I did was score the insulation using the 10AWG hole on the Klein strippers because anything smaller risked slicing, cutting, or tearing the strands. Once I scored the insulation, it was very easy to pull off the insulation without taking copper strands with it. I ran out of the initial 100 foot roll and I enjoyed this so much, I bought a second 50 foot roll. I used this in conjunction with the Deadbolt Banana Plugs 6-Pairs by Sewell, Gold Plated Speaker Plugs, Quick Connect, SW-29863-6, Deadbolt Flex Pin Banana Plugs for Spring Loaded Speaker Terminals, 12 Pairs Gold Plated Plugs, and the 30ft PET Expandable Sleeving Flexo Wire Cable Sleeve (2/5", Black). I used this cable to replace a temporary set-up with GearIT Pro 16 AWG Gauge Speaker Wire Cable, 100-Feet (30.48 Meters), Black.

The quality of this speaker wire is very good. The plastic coating is very smooth and pliable. I thought I may have difficulty working with 14 gauge; but quite the contrary, it gives me the firmness I like also goes along the wall corner very smoothly without problem or sagging. The wires pulled apart easily without using a knife.I have no means to test the purity of the wire. But I set up a Yamaha receiver with Klipsch speakers and the sound quality is great.I am very pleased with my purchase.

This is by far the best speaker cable I have found in quite some time. It has a very soft and flexible jacket making it very easy to run and install. I have purchased both the 14 GA and 12 GA and they both seem to be of the same quality. I combined the wire with the Sewell Silverback Banana Plugs for a very professional looking installation.
