Great Group Activity and Lots of Fun
We had a great time with The Champagne Murder party kit. Everything was easy to set up and follow, even for first-timers. The characters were fun, and the storyline kept everyone engaged. Perfect for a dinner party or a themed night in with friends. Would definitely try another one!

Murder Mystery Parties are a blast!
I recently played MMP's "The Champagne Murder" murder mystery party game and it was an absolute blast! The game is designed for 8-10 players and includes everything you need to host a fun and interactive murder mystery party. The game comes with a detailed host guide, character booklets for each player, and even costume and decoration suggestions to help set the mood for your party. The story is well-written and engaging, with plenty of twists and turns to keep everyone guessing until the end. One of the things I loved most about "The Champagne Murder" was how immersive it was. Each player is given a unique character to play, complete with their own backstory and motivations, which really helps to bring the game to life. It was so much fun to see everyone get into character and interact with each other throughout the night. The game itself was also well-designed, with plenty of clues and red herrings to keep everyone on their toes. The pacing was great, with enough downtime between rounds to allow for discussion and strategy without ever feeling boring. Overall, I would highly recommend MMP's "The Champagne Murder" to anyone looking for a fun and interactive party game. It's perfect for groups of friends, family gatherings, or even corporate events. The game is well-designed, immersive, and a great way to spend an evening with friends.

Fun but could be better
I bought this without reading the details of the game. Got the champagne murder for NYE imaging something along the lines of roaring 20’s, but instead it was set in London in 1968 and was “groovy”. The videos were super cringy with a wanna be Austin Powers vibe. Again, I didn’t read the details so that’s on me. I was surprised that the game kit included invitations, envelopes, everything for the game, and even a couple sample menus including shopping lists! I also did not realize when I ordered it that you need 8 people to play with a max of 10! We made do with 7. Following the host guidebook was a little challenging. It would have been nicer to have bullet point action items and a written out script for specific instructions that should be given. The character booklets were easy to follow for parts, but others were written in second person which made it difficult to convert to what you’re supposed to say. We were also confused at times on what order things were supposed to be disclosed. All in all, it was a fun evening and we all enjoyed it. I would order another one (that’s not 70’s themed), but will probably try a different brand if I can find one that’s easier to follow.

Super fun party game!
Best game ever! All of my friends and family were raving about my murder mystery birthday party. Each game kit has 8-10 players so I ordered 2. Everything you’ll need to get started is included like instructions, invites, and character name tags. We had a ball

A few suggestions...
We were a group of 8 adults and 2 teens and played this during our New Year's Eve dinner. It was a first time for us. Liked: the character choices and names were amusing and the written scripts were fun to read out. Disliked: when you weren't given a script, you had to read ahead, interpret and improvise, all while others were going on with their parts around you which lead to some confusion and some long frustrating pauses while ppl tried to figure out what they were supposed to actually say out loud. It's difficult to host and participate if you want to serve courses. It makes everything take too long and feel rushed because you don't want to leave everyone waiting while you're fiddling around in the kitchen. The costume and decoration suggestions were too specific. Focus more on describing the character and setting. It's pretty pricey for just paper. The print and paper quality are pretty plain and not very colorful. I'd like the invitations to be fancier. The detective in the video is a little over the top. It was a bit of a learning curve for the 1st 2 rounds trying to understand the flow of the game. A better overview you could lay out for everyone before we started would be helpful. Some of the accusations and responses got repetitive. I didn't use the recipes though I appreciated the suggestions. The unspecified type/amount of herbs had me looking for other recipes. Suggestions: Don't worry about following costume suggestions. As long as everyone dresses up some way it sets the tone for being goofy. My 76 yr old father just popped his collar, mushed his hair up and wore sunglasses and he was the favorite. Lay out the flow of the game first: scripts are read first, accusations and responses next, general discussion and then the video will recap what you should have figured out by now, repeat in the next round. Allow the guests to have their booklets ahead of time! Yes there's a small risk that they'll let slip that they're the murderer but it would have improved our night 100% if we'd all had time to fully understand our character's actions, motives, backstory, personality etc, ahead of time instead of having to do all of that while trying to act, learn about everyone else at the table, understand clues and serve/eat courses. Especially when some of us had changed the gender of our character because there weren't the right number of each for our group. As the host, I would either choose to be an extra character who you know isn't the murderer so you can let the game continue while fixing courses or serve all food at once. I think I will try one of these again with these modifications to help things move quicker and more smoothly. Overall we had a fun time and it's a good memory but we got frustrated about halfway through because it was taking too long.

We still had fun at our party even though this game was a mess
This was very poorly written and the “mystery” was not a very good mystery at all. There is also a weird, slow trickle of information such that when people would question each other, no one knew if they should make up an answer or say “I don’t know” because sometimes very key information about your own character would only be revealed to you yourself late in game.

Great!
It was SOOOO much fun! We had so much fun and lots of laughs! There is a video link to look up in the little booklet. It's easy to follow along. The characters are great to pick from.

Lo jugamos ocho personas de las cuales seis no habían jugado este tipo de juego pero aún así fluyó y todos se divirtieron tanto que pedimos otro juego.

This was so much fun to surprise our daughter and fiancé when they came up to the cottage. We had their clothes from the Thrift Store laid out on the bed and ready to go. Everyone stayed in character all night long. A perfect small party and totally unique!
