Great product at a reasonable price. I use a lot of tahini (at least 2 large tubs/year), and yes, pasteurization does alter the taste slightly though I don't notice it any more. It is a smooth, creamy product that I divided into smaller containers for convenience and to solve the settling problem. I hope Amazon will continue to carry this brand.

I often produce twenty to thirty pounds of hummus at a time. Sesame King Tahini is simply the best. It arrives smooth and well mixed, ready for immediate use. I'd used Joyva for years and battled with the bottom of the tub. With Sesame King, it's smooth and well mixed from top to bottom; highly recommended.

I used to buy it directly from sunshine because they are in MA and I am in CT but their prices have gone crazy. I have tried light roasted, roasted and organic. Even though they non organic are eco farmed. This lot from amazon was easy to open and it was mixed perfectly which saved me lots of time and effort. I like the taste of the organic better, but this lot is really tasty. We buy 3 pails a year, so tahini for us is a daily food. I normally transfer the tahini into smaller jars. Very happy with the product, price and shipping time.

I will go back to buying Baron's before this one turns me off to tahini completely.

we are very pleased with our tahini paste. it has less oil. more meat,or fiber. good taste, we will continue to order this item from amazon. YES; WE ARE HOOKED ON SESAME PASTE..GO GOOD; I'M TEMTED TO DRINK IT.WL.

In the world of tahini, I've found three basic categories: 1. Raw - Very neutral flavor that allows for the subtly of other flavors to come forward in hummus recipes. 2. Toasted sesame - Less transparent but adds a pleasurable nuttiness. 3- Toasted and pasteurized - Overwhelmingly damps the fresh ingredients in hummus (citrus, garlic, and even the garbanzo). I found it made everything taste ...old. This was the first time I've tasted pasteurized tahini and it was not something I look forward to again. This product still may work well with halva but I have not tried it.
