Scrappin' Gear Self-Healing A3 Cutting Mat with Grids, 12-Inch x 17.75-Inch

I purchased it to use to cut material to make ladies handkerchiefs. I perspire quite a bit from both menopause and from medications I have to take. It is difficult to find ladies handkerchiefs or when found they are pretty expensive, and I am tired of using ugly men's handkerchiefs! So I decided to make my own! This cutting board is a pretty pink, so it's enjoyable to look at while you are using it, and it is the prefect size for me! ...not too small, and not too big!! (lol). I have used it a lot so far, and I can't see any "scarring" on it from the rotary blade. So, the self healing does work! Only time will tell, but so far my rotary blade doesn't seem to be dulling yet either. Which, as much as I have already used the same blade on this mat, I would already be noticing some small amount of dulling. I have used it for much more than just cutting handkerchiefs, it's just that was the major reason I first purchased it. I do a lot of different crafts. This size board has been very convenient for me. The measuring grids are only on one side, but since both sides appear to be self healing, I use the non-gridded side to cut any items that I don't need grids to cut.

The media could not be loaded.  I can't say enough good things about this product! It saves you money in the long run and even comes in a cute color for a great price! The size is perfect to pull out and use easily. Personally I like that it isn't huge and bulky. It was shipped in appropriate packaging and no issues with the seller! The mat is thick, but not too thick. It has rulers on it for inches, cm, and even 60 and 45 degree cutting guides for easy and hassle free measuring so you can make that cut perfect the first time! I've used my mat several times, and I don't really see cuts on it. I am excited about this product and recommend it to anyone! no matter if they are a crafty person or not because we all have to use x acto knives or rotary knives at some point or another. 5 stars across the board!

Perfect for my craft table

Great product, does its job well! But the color in the photo is a more muted pink than I received (which is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5). I thought it would be more "eraser" pink, but mine is closer to a pepto/bright pink. Other than the color, though, it's awesome!

This mat is just what I needed and does all it promises to do. I doubted the self-healing part and whether it would really work with sharp rotaries but it really does not show any cuts and I have given it a lot of use now. When I use it works great, and can even be used for duck tape without it sticking! I love that you can use this for a variety of projects - like sewing and quilting, duct (or is it duck?) tape crafting, paper cutting, picture trimming and much more. The lines printed on the mat help me keep the cutting edge straight and it has a great feel to cut against. The price is great for what it does for me and the help it provides. It's also PINK, so who can complain about that. I'm a very happy customer.

I got a rotary cutter and wanted a smaller self-healing mat to use with it. I came across this one, and the price was right so I ordered it. I loved that it came in pink and wasn't huge. I wanted smaller mat that was easy to store away when I was done using it. This was perfect for what I wanted it for. If you are a quilter, this mat would end up being too small for you. Don't be sucked into the pretty pink color. Make sure you check the measurements before you buy it.

Honestly, I bought this mat, because I love pink and thought it would brighten up my crafting...and it has! Just the size I needed for my cardmaking. Have only started using it, but it seems durable.

The cutting board looks satisfactory, although only one-inch and half-inch lines are marked from side to side. My complaint is that the measurements of the mat are not as advertised. The actual graphed area measures 11” by 17”, not 12” x 18”. Appare tly the seller added in the unmarked edges, which add about 1/2” to width and length and are not usable. This is false advertising, in my book.
