Locke & Key Master Edition Volume 1 Hardcover – Illustrated, June 2, 2015

Series is awesome, and would be a great gift to folks who like the show. The binding and printing on this edition are beautiful.

The story itself is one of my favorites. The art is phenomenal and does a great job of conveying the story. This particular edition is beautiful - it’s oversized and has nice thick pages.

If you enjoy graphic novels then this has quickly become my favorite. From the embossed cover the the beautiful artwork printed on thing, glossy pages. Wonderful. I picked this up after watching the Netflix adaptation so I am hoping the reprint volume three which seems scarce.

Genuis. Pure genius. [not hyperbole]The artwork and the storyline are not just compatible but are totally symbiatic. And, yet one could enjoy the story without the text. This part of the Locke and Key storyline could be much more than a IDW one-shot treatment. I have read and studied Locke and Key Grindhouse many times because I keep making discoveries. I am now wondering whether a main Grindhouse character became Luke/Dodge. Maybe the information will be provided by the end of the series.

Book and images are perfect and new. Just one tiny scratch on the bottom right of the back of the cover itself. Book label new but had only this tiny scratch on it. I love this book and will give it 5 stars overall.

Great story and wonderful series. My only gripe was that I had to send the first one back because the spine was all broken, even though the item was well packed in the mailing box. Looked like the paper that makes up the hard cover was too stiff and cracked where it was supposed to bend. Second item came in better condition but looks as if it could split if handled too roughly.

I got this for my daughter for Christmas. She devoured it in one night. The illustrations are amazing too!
