Furby Boom Figure (Peacock)

My 10 year old daughter LOVES this toy. She wants to play with it all the time. I must say that it really is cute. The eyes are like little computer screens. They are constantly changing according to what he is doing or how he is feeling. His personality also changes depending on how you interact with it. When he changes to a different personality, he has a different sounding voice too. He is always surprising you with things that he says. When we through tossing him in the air and catching him, he said "don't drop me". My daughter loves to use the Furby app in the Kindle. You have to choose a name for him and he will then remember his name. You feed him, give him a shower and he uses the bathroom, which is a little gross at times. You even have to flush the toilet and spray the air freshener. He (or I guess she) lays eggs and you help them hatch and then the babies go into a hotel. You can name each baby and decorate their rooms. It's really very entertaining. I got this one at a very good price right after Thanksgiving for $40. I haven't seen the price that low since then. It would be nice for her to have a second one because they will recognize when there is another Furby close by and they will interact with each other. It was well worth the $40.

I bought this for our Granddaughter for Christmas and what hit it was! She carried it everywhere (age 7), her other Grandparents also bought her a Furby (different style) and they talk and sing together. She loves them. Parents aren't too sure they like all the 'noise' from them but the Granddaughter is very happy!Be sure to read your info for the annoying and mean modes they can get into (they react to the play around them) they are easy enough to get back to nice mode and they don't swear or anything just have louder barbs and make sounds of farting etc.They have wonderful apps to have interactive play with certain phones, tablets, computers.Very happy with this purchase.

I have never laughed so hard! My daughter and her furby have some off the way conversations and surprising enough I understand most of what both of them are saying!. We bought the furby for my 10 year old daughter for Christmas. The first 2 days I thought I'd go crazy, but after a few minutes of not turning, pulling, feeding or tickling it, it goes right to sleep. It is really funny to see the different personalities that the furby has. The bad part is if it is played with constantly you will go through batteries. We changed the battieries once within the first 3 days, but after school was back in swing poor Furby sleeps quite a bit during the day and we haven't changed them since.

Fantastic sale on these on Black Friday - got two of them. I personally do not like Furbies and my daughter ended up not liking hers so she gave it to her younger brother so he has two that do interact with each other. They are really pretty, especially this one with the pink around it's eyes but I do not like the furby voices and the constant noises and interaction of them, however my 12 year old does. So I think kids do like them of course and they are good quality and made well. And as I said they are pretty and bright and soft, but I just don't want to hear them.

I gave this to my 6 year old daughter for Christmas. She adored it for about 8 hours. Apparently something went terribly wrong on the 2 minute walk to Grandma's house. She saw flames in its eyes, and it started talking in a male voice- a mean persona. She won't get near it and doesn't want it. It's creepy and disgusting. Not at all appropriate for a young child. Hasbro sucks.

I bought two of these for my 7 and 9 year old girls. While there initial reaction was great, the follow up was no so great. After two days of playing with them the Furby's are now rolling around on the floor looking for love. I found one this morning near the garbage can, probably looking for food (LOL!). These toys just don't have enough advanced interaction for kids these days to enjoy. Even with the Furby ap which my 9 year old downloaded its just not enough. The Furby "sayings" are very repetitious and monotonous. I would not recommend this toy. I will say however that my husband's 80 year old grandmother who has Alzheimer's loved this toy, completely interacted with it and thought it was amazing. It was nice to see her and my children interacting together with the toy, but even she lost interest after about 15 minutes.

My daughter got one of the very first Furbys when they came out in 2006 & played with it all the time. Last year, I wanted to get her a new model but the prices were higher than I really wanted to pay. When the Furby Boom launched with the iPhone/tablet app, I couldn't pass! They are so cute! I chose the Peacock one & he's beautiful and so very soft. I haven't opened it yet but will do an updated review once we've taken it out & played with it. I'm hoping they worked out all the bugs discussed in other reviews as I have an iPhone 4s & I noticed there were problems with that specific phone app. The shipping was crazy fast too! I just may have to get another for myself, they're so cool!!!
