Woohoo! This Wonderful Salve Comes in a Tube!
I have used Smith's Rosebud Salve for many years now. Like the other Amazon.com reviewers/customers who have posted comments on this salve, I used the tin as well over the years. And I totally agree with many of these reviewers. Life is so much better with Smith's Rosebud Salve in a tube! I live in the Midwest (Illinois) and the cold weather during the Winter season can sometimes be brutal to the lips leaving your lips very cracked and dry. Just like the other customers have posted, I, too, apply this lip salve on overnight during the cold weather season and wake up with soft moist lips. And the soft moist lips last all day. I don't need to reapply the salve. And I love anything rose-scented (the rose is my birth month flower (June)). This product's rose scent is subtle and pleasant smelling. I like smelling nice, but not in an overpowering way. This salve's fragrance is very light and nice. And the salve goes smoothly on your lips, no stickiness. And if you've read any of my other reviews on the Amazon website, you know I have this thing for multi-functional stuff. And Smith's Rosebud Salve is multi-functional. Not only can you use it for lip gloss/lip conditioner, you can use this thing to apply on small cuts on your skin, dry cuticles and dry-looking areas on your skin, etc. The Amazon.com product description really does provide you with an idea of the many uses of this salve. This Christmas, I bought a lot of these tubes as stocking stuffers for my co-workers, and put them in all the Christmas gift bags for my family and friends. Spending money on Smith's Rosebud Salve is money well spent, because there's no doubt in my mind that this salve in a tube will be used. And I definitely will be using this tube as long as this company keeps on making this salve in a tube. Yay to no more messing with a tin and sticky fingers. And yay to beneficial products that come in a tube!

Oh Rosebud...
I usually buy the tins of this stuff and keep them all over the place. But the one in my bag got hot and kind of leaked everywhere (it was totally my fault, I knew it was going to happen and I should have kept it in a ziplock bag or something to prevent it from happening and I didn't and I'm a jerk to myself). So I went ahead and got a tube to carry around in my bag so it wouldn't happen again. The tube is well made and won't leak, the details on the tube match the classic tins that I love so much, and the applicator tip is a big upgrade from having to use my finger and getting this stuff literally all over myself. Same great formula as the tins, it's just in a more convenient vessel. I like Rosebud Salve because it's simple. It doesn't pretend to be something it isn't. It smells really good, it feels good, and it makes my lips all pretty without looking like an over glossed glittery porn star. I wear very little make up- Great Lash mascara in the green and pink tube and Rosebud Salve. It's not greasy or sticky, and it absorbs well without leaving me wanting to apply more. I was a Chapstick junky before I found Rosebud, but it would cause build up on my lips and I'd have to scrape the stuff off at the end of the day. I also had some bumps that would show up under my bottom lip and at the corners of my mouth, but since I've started using Rosebud, no more bumps or buildup. I will spend the money for a good quality product when I find it, and this has made the short list. :)

Best Lip Balm, Worst Packaging
I hate giving this four stars. I love this lip balm. I love the texture, scent, color, and taste. Its good in a platonic way. There is lip balm and then there is Lip Balm. I hate the packaging. There isn't an perforation to easily tear off the outer packaging. Save your fingernails, because you will need a blade to remove it. Unfortunately, since you have to use a blade, you run a risk of puncturing the tube. At $7-8, I wish I could give the absolute best lip balm in the world a better rating.

When I saw this beauty guru talk about how this was her favorite lip balm
I am simply OBSESSED with roses, but find it really difficult to find rose-scented products. When I saw this beauty guru talk about how this was her favorite lip balm, I had to have it. I must say, this stuff is REALLY good. It leaves my lips incredibly soft, and a little goes a long way. In fact, most of the time when I think I haven't squeezed out enough balm, as soon as I put it on my lips it feels like I have too much. In those cases, I just rub the excess balm into my hands and it leaves them really soft. I would say my one complaint is the smell; I LOVE the smell of roses, but this has an almost medicinal smell. It definitely smells of roses, but not like a toner or actual rose water would smell like. It's difficult to describe. I like it, but it could be better. Since it is in tube form I have shared with other people, and only two have actually enjoyed the scent, while others say it smells odd. I saw a review that said they didn't like the taste, but mine doesn't taste like anything. Everyone I know who's tried it out has said they loved it, though. I find that most lip balms only prevent your lips from becoming chapped, but this one actually provides moisture and makes them feel so silky. There is the slightest pink tint to it, but it isn't noticeable at all on the lips. Since the formula is very smooth as opposed to waxy, it gives my lips a really pretty shine upon application, almost like clear lip gloss. As for the shipping, it came in REALLY quickly. I thought it would take a few weeks for some reason but it actually came a few days later. I was also surprised to find that I received two tubes instead of one; I'm assuming this was a mistake, though, as the product description doesn't indicate that you will receive two. I guess I was just lucky. If you want a good balm, this is the way to go!
