WS Game Company Scrabble Grand Folding Edition with Rotating Wooden Game Board

nice large game board, rotating , larger than usual letters, so they are easy to see . board folds in half with score pad, letters, letter holders and pencil inside, so even though it is large, you can still travel with it. i like the the board grid that holds the letters in place and the coloring , though not traditional for scrabble...is beautiful too. i hesitated on spending almost $ hundred on a game, but it seems like it will last a while, so i am not antisipating having to purchase another... so if it last 10 years, that's on $10 a year... so i consider it worth it.

I love this, I gave it to my mom for Christmas and she loves it. Positives: 1. the board and letters are very well made 2. Its cute and looks better than the regular cardboard board 3. I would recommend for a gift Negatives: 1. In the score book the strings that hold the pencil in broke when I tried to pull it out 2. even though the quality is good i think it is overpriced In conclusion I like it and would definitely recommend.

We went on a Mediterranean cruise and the ship had very nice Scrabble games on board. We enjoyed playing it and vowed to get a game when we returned home. We found this one and really like it. The quality is great, the letters won't slide off of the board, the letters are large--we would recommend it!

Looks great, but I found the game board to be too large—when it is rotated, it is easy to knock over your game tiles. Also, the tile bag is very skimpy, could have been a little larger. Still fun game.

Was a bit skeptical about the functionality of the wheels, but works flawlessly. Board is very well made, heavvy and a bit oversized as stated, but this is a good thing when more then two people are playing this game.

The concept is great, right? A foldable board that rotates! They left out other key components of a good product: smart design, a way to store the board so that it doesn't get damaged, quality materials, protective packaging, quality control, oh the list goes on. First off, the board folds so that the scrabble board is on the outside. That means that the pieces of the stained wood frame will continually come into contact with shelving, cabinets, other games, etc. when you store it. If your board was lucky enough to arrive undamaged in the poor packaging, it will surely become damaged over time due to this stupid way to store the board. The frame is made from wood, but the scrabble board itself is made of plastic and wood-like laminate stickers. Our board came with pieces of the plastic coming out of the frame already. Basically, a terrible design flaw and poor quality control. Also, our board, when open, did not lay flat due to poor hinges. The rotating feature is not a lazy susan design as one would expect, but rollers screwed onto the underside of the board so that it rolls on the surface you are playing on. Great, just what I want on my dining table or coffee table. Overall, if you want a fancy board, this isn't it. If you asked me to pay $20 for this board I wouldn't do it. In fact, I wouldn't take it for free. It's that bad. Keep searching. I will.

High quality family size scrabble board, with rotating feature making ideal to speed up play.

Excellent quality

I wanted a new scrabble board that where the tiles lock into place (been using this board for 1 month now). My old board was from 1980 and was still in excellent shape but we were getting frustrated with the tiles moving. I looked at and considered the $400 board game but when I looked at the height, of the game, the playing surface would now be too elevated, for our table, as was the other games of the same design but slightly less in price. This one was just perfect in height. It took a few games to adjust to the larger letters (and they are large but GREAT) and the different colour tones of the board BUT I wouldn't trade this board in for another one at all. I LOVE IT. To deal with other peoples concerns: The bag it comes with.... I tossed it and use a Crown Royal whiskey bag - PERFECT. Who care about a pencil and the score book. - TOSSED THEM Bought an enclosed clip board holder and print my own score sheets with letters used, point recording, words used and a scratch pad area for each player. I print the score sheets out, clip them into a file folder and store them with pencils inside the clip board. As for the box - I put clear packing tape on all the corners and seams of the box it came in so it will last forever without coming apart. I did this 41 years ago with my original scrabble game and the box is still in great shape. I just had to replace the tape on that box once. I like how the locking clasp works as you need to give it a very slight pulling pressure toward you to slide the lock clasp open - EXCELLENT We use this new board game at least 4-6 times a week and LOVE it. I would recommend this game. MY game and box arrived in great shape. There were none of the problems other people mentioned.

She loves this and uses it every weekend since covid keeps us in these days. The only issue which was miner was the bag that you put the letters in was to small to fit your hand in to fish out letters. So I made a larger one for her in a half hour out of leather.

Everything was top notch!

Love the little bit larger than standard size, spinning board and lock in place tiles. It is a solid kit for sure!
