GREAT GLOVE PERFECT FIT
Perfect snowboarding gloves! I've tried so many brands and this one i am by far the happiest with. There's just enough room in the fingers that allow some movement. I hate when they are so snug you can barely move your fingers. I just end up getting so cold and not being able to move my fingers at all makes it so much worse. These gloves have built in support for the wrist and also a band that straps around the wrist for added support. So between the extra room in the fingers and the added support for the wrist this is the best combo for a glove. There is also room to add in hand warmers which I always use. 2 battery operated hand warmers in these gloves will keep you warm for the entire day. I got a size small and they fit great! I'm 5'6" 127lbs.

ABSOLUTE MUST- OTHERWISE YOU WILL BREAK YOUR WRISTS
Unless you are a pro, you MUST wear some type of wrist protection. I’m really comfortable on a surfboard and skateboard, so figured my first snowboarding day should be a breeze. But I got these just in case. I’m not exaggerating when I say I would have SNAPPED MY WRISTS like PRETZEL STICKS if it wasn’t for these wrist guards. Even a minor fall on hard packed ice will absolutely break your wrists. These bought me total peace of mind knowing I could beef it and not end up with 2 casts. I took some HARD falls and these totally held up and protected both of my wrists. Very low profile and fit comfortably as described according to dimensions. $20 vs hundreds of dollars in the ER. BUY THESE NOW

Sturdy, protective size 7 in Women gloves - S in Grey / Teal variant fits
I snowboard poorly and have prior wrist injury, so wrist protection is a must for me. Prior to having these I had to opt for summer sports wrist protection under large size snow gloves, was very not comfy. Got these and they are amazing! They are made of super sturdy rubberey-coated material that won't fall apart quickly, unlike 3 pairstof gloves that each lasted me 1 season. The wrist guards are hidden in pockets and can be removed for washing or when you wanna use the gloves for non sport activities, like winter hiking and whatnot. Guards definitely work, I fall alot and this weekend was very icey, I kept falling on that one icy spot, one time fell to the point where my knees got bruised through knee pads, would probably be some major injury w/o them and no issues with wrists regardless of how the fall went. Amazing! I wear size 7 gloves in Women sizes and S in Dakine (grey + teal color option) fit great: snug around wist and comfy perfect length in fingers. There is additional strap that secures wrist guards to where they belong. Putting these on and taking them off is pretty easy. They do look bit bulky but not horribly so. They were warm enough for -10C/13F. Would probably need glove liners if it walls below that. All and all highly recommend and quality gloves. And definitely wear protection not just for wrists, but for you knees, head and butt! Stay safe!

Best snowboarding wrist guards I've tried
There are only so many options out there for proper snowboarding wrist guards with Dakine and Burton being the main two--I have tried them both. Dakine's are far superior and cheaper. I wear these every time I ride since it's easy to slip to your back wrist when riding down steep and icy slopes or while getting extra surfy and far back on the board. I've been knocked around while wearing these and gone down on the wrists but have felt protected each time. When I was forced to buy and wear the Burton guards in Park City after losing one of my Dakine, I immediately realized how unsubstantial and lacking the Burton brand's are; they offer little to no protection, are extremely soft and short, and when I came down on my wrist I felt pain that I would not have felt if I were wearing Dakine. So I made sure to order another pair of Dakine after that trip. I wear a size small (note I'm a 5'1" woman with small but muscular wrists), the neoprene around the wrist can feel tight but will slightly stretch out over time to be more comfortable. I knocked a star since the thumb hole is the tightest area and it can cause irritation around the crease of the thumb after wearing all day. You'll also need to wash these every so often as the neoprene material makes you sweat around the wrist and yes they will smell :)

Awesome for falls as a first time snowboarder
I bought the size small (I wear women's size medium gloves) and put these under size large women's mittens for snowboarding so that I'd have pently of room. Worked great! Great support, maybe just a smidge tight but not noticeable once I got going, and actually kept my hands plenty warm. Wouldn't be able to wear these on top or below glove inserts. I fell one time without them on and instantly regretted it, so they went right on after that and I no longer worried about hurting my wrists.

Not as expected
Xl is not the size dimensions as described. Way too tight. Was able to get on my hand and I do not see also how this will protect your wrist. Flimsy!

Too stiff - protect your wrist but risk breaking your arm
My research into wrist guards taught me that the guards should not be too stiff. Wrist guards that are stiff and inflexible could cause a fracture of the forearm instead of the wrist. These Dakine wrist guards appear to contain a metal insert that does not allow for any wrist flex. I felt like my forearm would be at risk if I used these. I didn't want to take that chance so I sent them back for a refund. Others reviews regarding the small size of these wrist guards are accurate. I wear and size 9 (large) glove and the XL wrist guards fit me OK. If you want a better protection for snow sports, Dakine still makes a glove (as of 2024) with a built-in wrist guard that does flex. I used these gloves for several seasons and experienced no injuries despite several good crashes on the slopes.

I haven't actually tested their protection but the fit well under a pair of bigger gloves. Order a size bigger than normal as they are rather tight

Muy buenos guantes que aislan bien, buena amortiguación y buena protección de muñecas que además se pueden quitar si se quiere (placa superior e inferior)

Have used these dakine wrist guards for years, unbeatable value. Gives me a lot of comfort when I'm on the slopes. Having just taught my wife to snowboard I wanted to get her a set too. Fitted perfectly over many sets of gloves/MIT's.

Je fais du "M" en gants malpa... J'ai pris XL pour prévoir large et pouvoir enfiler mes gants d'hiver. Il épouse parfaitement ma main malgré 2 tailles au-dessus. Impossible d'enfiler mes gants. Cela étant, ils restent confortables mains nues.
