10 Inch Hot Water Filter High Temperature Housing PWFHHW2510 by Kem Flow

I purchased this unit to install on the hot water line that runs to our large shower in the master bath. The dual shower unit has the auto adjust heat settings, and multiple jets, including body jets. About every 6 months, I would need to disassemble the control unit, and clean out a fine residue that built up on the ultra fine mesh screens inside the handles. Even with softened municipal water, these screens would clog up and the water pressure would go down to a trickle in 3-6 months. I isolated it to the issue to hot water only. This cleaning process was not fun, as it was a timely process. I installed this unit on the hot water line going to the bath, and installed a 5 micron filter. The unit is heavy duty, and built to withstand the hot water. So far, after 6 months, the pressures are fine. I'll be changing the cartridge soon.

Installed filter on kitchen facet hot water line to prevent clogging facet. Worked as expected and elimintated the problem. Filter was shipped on time and received earlier then the predicted ETA. Completely satisfied with all parts of the order process and product.

Does not come as pictured!!! The filter I received did not come with the vent button as pictured! I had to add a drain ball valve in order to bleed pressure off the line before servicing. Had it come with a spec sheet and as pictured I would rate it higher

All in all good quality but with a couple flaws Doesn't seal well unless u reef on it and then u need a pipe wrench to remove it And the wrench that comes with it is not strong enough mine broke on the first tightening

I received this hot water filter today. It came with the red filter housing and a plastic wrench to open and close the filter housing. I guess I expected the filter to come with a filter cartridge inside but it did not. It also does not come with a mounting bracket or instructions. Just a piece of cellophane with a small sticker that says "10 Inch Hot Water Filter ...ng PWFHHW2510 by Kem Flow." I searched online and found a website called Fresh Water Systems. They have a standard 2.5" x 9 7/8" filter which I believe will fit this unit. It is the Neo-Pure MB-25098 filter cartridge, which is rated for up to 175 degrees. That is the highest temperature filter cartridge I could find online. I also ordered the "Mounting Bracket Install Kit for Single Slim Line Housings - Part # SLBRACKET-KIT" which appears to be the correct bracket for this unit. I guess I'll find out. It's tough to find any information about this unit, so I hope what I ordered is right. If you are considering buying this, keep in mind that it cost me an additional $21.24 (after shipping charges) to get the bracket and 3 filter cartridges.

Bought this for my dishwasher, tired of my dishwasher going bad because of my hard water. Very heavy duty! The material may be a little coarse so use extra Teflon tape and maybe some paste with it. Mine dripped a tiny little bit from the pipe threads at first but good heavy duty part. I would buy it again.

Used this in front of the dishwasher on the hot water line with an inexpensive sediment filter. The dishwasher is energy efficient which means that it reuses the water and does not really use enough to clean as well as expected and leaves a lot of spots and mineral deposits. This removed the hardness from the water and with occasional use of Finish brand DW cleaner the inside of the DW is shiny as are all the dishes without the use of rinse aid.
