Klement's Original Summer Sausage, Hardwood Smoked 2 Pounds

The best for me, wonderful , non gressy!

Looking at the picture and the weight I couldn’t be sure of the size of the stick. Going by memory (yep it is long gone) it is about 10 inches long and diameter of 2 or 2 and 1/2 inches. So a good buy. The flavor was that of a good summer sausage. Not overly salty. Good spice. Firm. I just enjoyed it. Tried to ration it out but that didn’t slow my consumption of this summer sausage.

Good price. Reviewers complaining calling it "mooshy" or "too salty" need to realize this is SUMMER SAUSAGE, NOT their fatty Hard Salami that tastes like a mildewed old shoe. Firmness is on par with other Summer Sausages I've purchased. Flavor is kind of bland when cold, not very smokey. I don't find it "greasy" at all. The flavor really wakes up when it is fried in a pan. For reference I'm used to the Johnsonville brand of strong flavor when cold.

Tastes great. And product is true to description.

I'm on a low salt diet, doesn't work for my appetite.

I liked this product and will be buying again. It reminds me of the summer sausage that my mom would buy when I was young.

This stuff must be at least 50% fat. Loaded with grease and little flavor. I really am surprised that any company would sell this stuff. I cut off 4 small slices and fried them in a skillet to try to get rid of some of the fat and I was shocked with the amount of fat left in the pan. Not to mention the stuff was still greasy. Did I mention that it is also VERY salt laden. Definitely DO NOT BUY THIS STUFF
