Glad I got this one--it's beautiful and does the job. Has better teeth than some others I looked at and the length is just right. It's attractive enough to leave out in the den so it's there when you need it. It's smooth on both sides with a nice finish so no scratches or pulls on fabric.

Long handle, great quality, and pretty design.

I was hesitant to purchase this due to conflicting reviews about the sharpness of the scratcher's teeth. Some claim it's too sharp and some claim it's too dull. In reality this is subjective. I've only had this for about a week and used it 4-5 times. Imo it gave me just the right amount of scratch: sharp but not too sharp and gave my back the perfect relief. Actually it's a little more on the sharp side. It's certainly not dull. If you find it too sharp, you can just gently scratch and it would still provide the relief you seek without harming your skin. The length is just perfect to reach my lower back or anywhere that needs scratching. It's sturdy, made of good quality material, and is attractive. I just have to be careful not to drop it based on reviews I read that it can break if dropped on to the hard floor.*Update* I just noticed a tiny splinter on the side of the hand. I yanked it out and now I have to sand it down. Not too happy about it but it is a minor imperfection I can fix without having to return it.

Strong yet pliable and able to reach all parts of back

I'm a Huge Fan of this Back-Scratcher!It is truly amazing what you can get for a couple bucks more if you poke around a little bit. I would have a hard time even comparing this to your typical bamboo back-scratcher. Beautiful and elegant, this is one well crafted piece of wood. Makes me feel like a real aristocrat! Would buy again if need be, but I imagine this very solid and slightly weighty scratcher will last a lifetime.The best (and classiest) back-scratcher on Amazon. If you can't afford a personal back-scratching assistant on permanent retainer, this is hands down your best choice. A completely functional piece of art.
