Bet picks out there
I really like using grippy picks, and there are the grippiest I've found. Stay in my hand great.I really like that the 1.14mm still has some bend to it when playing. They seem to last forever too. I end up losing them before they get worn out.Just get them!

Best of the bunch...
Of course there are a HUGE range of available guitar picks out there...Presently the grip / sandpaper style are really making an impact on players and must be tried to be believed.I've tried many varieties at great expense and evaluationThe top rated picks in this "rough grip style" I would rate in this order#1 Snarling Dog#2 Dunlop#3 Cool Blue#4 Everything else is pretty much garbage (seriously)The Snarling Dogs win for a few significant advantages:They are hard - the 1.14 which I use is a rigid stiff pick but is still extremely THIN (that's really nice because they just feel more precise) and they do not develop rough edges nearly as quickly as other brands. The rough edges create a scraping sound while picking instead of a sharp plunk - The Dunlop 1.14 is a thicker and softer pick for a 1.14 (feeling less precise) as well as developing rough pick edges more quickly and as the Dunlop picks warm up in your hand they get even softer. The Cool Blue Picks are really hard to find but are the best performance pick in the bunch however they last about three songs, I can't stress this point enough, the cool blue are clearly the BEST picks but they only last for short durations (and I'm not kidding) for a live performance I use about qty. 12 Cool Blues in three sets of music... KEY POINT: The Cool Blues must be tried, do yourself a favor and find one and you will not believe it -but- they are just too expensive to use as a practice picks. The Cool Blues are EXPENSIVE at almost a dollar a pick and last for a short period - but while they are new they are AMAZING...So all things measured equally the Snarling Dog 1.14 tin box one dozen are by FAR and AWAY the best deal and a very close the the best performer, they just last almost forever... making the other picks nowhere near as good of a deal
