These brackets are an almost exact replacement for the original brackets from an IKEA 21" (21x4x1/4) glass bathroom shelf that's no longer available. Over time the brackets weakened and eventually failed but only after probably 15+ years. These replacement brackets seems to be a better quality and appear sturdier. Saved quite a bit not having to replace the entire shelf. And happily I didn't even have to change out the plastic anchors drilled into the tile so installation took maybe a total of 10 minutes. UPDATE: Over time these brackets began to fail just as the original IKEA brackets did causing the glass shelf to sag. Needed to be replaced. If I could figure out how to do it I'd reduce # of stars to 2 stars.

Easy to use and ideal for glass shelves

These brackets worked out great for my stainless steel tables to clamp on the underside of the tables front edge to put hook brackets to hold a food trash scrap bags when preparing food for cooking.

I like these standoffs but the last set I ordered were missing screws. Its a pain to have to figure out screw lengths, etc. and go find and replace them.

I bought a package of four. All of them have a nice polished chrome finish with a flat back and neatly finished edges, and the open spacing for glass is true to size. Only time will tell how they hold up to use and abuse, but obviously they're strong enough for the purpose of supporting a tempered glass shelf. The flat screws used to hold the glass in place are easy to adjust and have rubber tips. Nonetheless, I have to knock off a star because the mounting hardware is lacking: They only include a single medium-length wood screw for each bracket: no anchor (for use with drywall or cement board) and no longer screw (advisable if you're trying to mount it over thick tile and cement board, because only a very little of the supplied screw's tip will reach a stud or other wood backing).

This item was my third (and final) attempt to install a glass shelf. After the original bracket that came with the glass shelf was somehow bent, I then purchased a second aftermarket bracket and attempted to use them, and those failed! I found these brackets on Amazon for a fraction of the price of the second set and ordered them. These things GRIP the glass shelf wonderfully. My shelf is now level, sturdy and looks great. I wish that I had bought them much sooner. I must have ordered the size a bit too large but solved that problem very easily by cutting some black plastic shims to place them between the top of the glass shelf and under the upper portion of the clip. Finally, I'm now done with this project, as my wife and I are very happy!

Even with anchors the screws would not tighten. Seems the anchors are too big for the screws. The single screws make it worse because the brackets turn. Would not purchase again despite the cheap price.

besure to measure your glass thickness these were for 10mm which is what i needed

I needed these brackets as a replacement for a glass shelf I have which had smaller old brackets that were originally supplied with the shelf and had broken. These new brackets worked well, they are larger, sturdier and hold the glass firmly in place. They do not come with screws so you must provide your own. Otherwise, very satisfied with this purchase.
