Works great but hell to get threw the hole on top of the mower crankshaft hole on top the craftsman mower should of went with a 5 instead but i am glad i put a 6 even though it was harder it was well worth it. I pulled some rope out of the sleeve burnt it at the ends shaped it into a spearhead on the end when i melted it and then used a paper clip to push it threw the hole on the crank handle twisted it threw turning it using paper clip and then finally got threw perfect lawn mower cord and probably will never break the 5 will probably break.. take out some rope use the sleeve of the rope to pull it threw the hole.

Very nice product and great price for quantity, also quick shipping. We use a lot for pull start tools. This rope holds up much better and works in pur gas saws, generators, and compactors. Will always buy again!

The starter rope seems to work well and is packaged nice, with a small pin to hold the line on the spool between uses. As with most starter line, it really needs to be cut hot or melted to prevent fraying and allow it to be fed through the recoil and/or handle more easily. It does fray a lot when it isn't melted and this does make for a difficult install if you aren't prepared. I cut one star off because the line does not seem to hold a knot well unless similarly partly melted after being tied. This may be related to my machine, but the line didn't hold its knot past 1 pull before I melted the knot. YMMV. As far as strength goes, time will tell but it does seem to be of high strength and durable. After hundreds of pulls on a Honda gx motor, it looks almost new and functions well.

The right size of pull starter rope with enough rope to last, for the price of the wrong sized pull start rope that lasts a month. What is the tiny 3ft pull start rope for that is sold as a pull start rope, They must have some tiny machines because all I could find were tiny diameter ropes sold as pull start rope. I'm glad that I found this and it has lasted better and longer than the original that came with the Ridgid generator. We live off-grid and I start the generator several times a day and I bought this rope two or three years ago and haven't had to replace the first piece of rope that I replaced the Rigid rope with.

Quality product. I have used this Stens products in my shop, for years, with satisfactory results.
