Favorite budget mechanical watch so far
Aesthetically, it's really great. It's one of my favorite watch faces. The band is fine. I don't usually like leather that much, but it works for this one. The time keeping isn't perfect, but it's good enough. I've been wearing it for three days and it has varied a bit, but not by more than maybe ten seconds between slowest to fastest. That's not awesome, but it's been varying both ways so at least it probably won't keep getting further and further off in one direction. Haven't seen it stop once so far. Overall, for the price it is, I'm pretty blown away.

Great Watch For Infrequent Wear
For the price, you could get much worse. This (in my opinion) is a very good value for what you get - mechanical + skeleton style. The watch face is distinctive and fits fairly well within the "steampunk" motif (it's silver rather than brass, which is kind of not in keeping with the very brassy style associated with the Victorian steampunk theme). However, I much prefer the silver because it fits well with the business casual look and even works with dress slacks and shirts - you can dress up or dress down wearing this watch. Please do note that the use of the Roman numeral "I" is used in place of the even hours so having and I (1 o'clock) right next to an I (2 o'clock) looks a bit "odd." Movement is smooth, and the crown isn't hard to pull out. This watch can be wound in 2 ways, by using the crown to energize the spring or with the use of kinetic movement (the natural swinging motion of your wrist as you walk and move will power the movement). Quality is good overall. Everything seems put together well and the workmanship is good. There are 2 reasons I'm giving this watch 4 stars instead of 5: -- The band is stiff and isn't made of the best material. Also, the tongue has a tendency to stick inside the hole - I have to pull on the band a bit to free up the tongue -- I got condensation on the inside of the watch when moving from cooler air to warmer air. The fogginess dissipates quickly and hasn't appeared to hurt anything yet. This could turn out to be a much bigger problem later on because the moisture will cause corrosion to the inside of the watch and the parts Overall, I'm happy with the look, feel, and features. Since I don't wear this watch every day, it should last me for a very long time.

This level of craftsmanship for the price is absurd
If I had paid $100 for this I'd be writing almost the same review. It would be a bargain even at 4 times its price. I kinda don't want to know how this is done. Whomever is putting these together needs to be paid more. Seriously. Stunning, mesmerizing, accurate, long lasting, durable, and just plain fun. My favorite watch, and it cost as much as a cheeseburger these days. Crazy.

Cool but not durable
I received the watch and it was great. It looked great and kept good time for its price but right out of the box one of the numbers was off. At first I thought that it was part of the design because i couldn't see it but the actual number but within 3 days three more fell of and started to clog the mechanisms. In the instructions it said not to do hard work or sports with it on and i didn't. I am very disappointed. Also the roman numeral one is placed every other numeral. This starts after the actual numeral one which looks tacky. It should start with the actual one in order to look cooler in my opinion. Also (and this was after the numbers fell off) I dropped the watch in the driveway and the buckle fell off.

Beautiful watch. Some major flaws, great customer service.
Beautiful watch. No one believes it was under $25. Interior fogged on a humid day, It didn't keep correct time, and crown popped off. However, the company has offered a free replacement to re-review, so I have added two stars for good customer service. If the poor watch I received and reviewed was just a fluke, this watch would deserve 5 stars.

Not too simple and not too complex. Just right.
I've owned it for about two days, and it's been nothing but great. Be sure to follow the instructions for winding, or it will not function. I love the moving pieces inside of it as well as the audible, yet quiet ticks. I'm surprised I received this much quality from an inexpensive watch. Update 3/12/16: If I were you, I would buy a new wrist strap at a jewelry/watch store of some sort. It fits 20mm straps. It just became too uncomfortable, but now that I've changed out the strap, it's perfect.

Very nice watch, strap is comfortable
Very nice watch, strap is comfortable, watch works perfect as expected. My only complaint since I'm a bit ocp, is that the clock was not quite center, it was turned a degree or two counter clockwise. But other than that its an outstanding watch. I wear it for special occasions and it always catches people's eye's seeing such a unique design.

Durability and effectiveness
The watch is okay, it is cheap and works well for a good couple days. This being said BE aware it has a tendency to break mid turn cycle. I followed all instructions for 20-25spins for every 24 hours. The problem began after 2 days, the watch began to start stopping and would constantly stop mid way. The hair spring was already partially damaged. I know for 25$ it seems like a steal, but it breaks ridiculously quick. I wish the developer of this device would stay true to what it looks like to be a screw on, however after breaking couple small tools I later learned they MADE it a snap off. Great I finally opened up the device and started repairing, turns out the spring they shipped to me in this device was faulty. This would be okay, had it not been very very cheaply made. I found that the hard way, it turns out a little bit of pressure it would have taken to close this watch up, would be enough to break is entirely. I understand there could have been user fault since it was a 25$ plus watch, however within 2 days and it not working really hurts. Since well learning how cheap it was made, makes you understand this will break almost instantly if something is not quality enough right.

Never having owned a skeletonized watch I bought this out of curiosity and as a novelty. The watch is better looking than I had expected and I love seeing the mechanism in operation. It arrived well packaged, in an attractive box. The crown works smoothly, so far. After some initial problems with starting and stopping the movement seems to have settled out and is now keeping good time with a power reserve of about 24 hours. It uses a variant of the Chinese Standard Movement and is not the most rugged of watches, you have to guard against shocks and knocks. It takes a little practice to distinguish the hands from the movement (in order to tell the time) but once you get used to it, it's a cinch. As reported by other customers the supplied strap is initially very stiff and hard to put on . I'm hoping it will become more supple with wear. It appears to be real leather (it's stamped "genuine leather"- for whatever that's worth) and it does look good with the watch. The strap is just big enough for thick (8-9 inch circumference) wrists. Bottom line is that for the price this is a good looking fashion or novelty watch that keeps reasonable time, for a manual wind-up. If you are looking for a sturdy, dependable, very accurate timepiece in this budget range I would recommend a Timex or Casio. One year on, watch is going strong. Strap has become more pliable with wear. Still accurate enough for everyday use. Like any mechanical watch it tends to lose time. I find I'm adjusting it < 1 minute every week, or so. Good enough for me. I have other watches for accuracy. This is my skeletonized, Mao Tse Tung watch!
