Smoky mesquite flavor and organic too! Very good!

The mesquite powder has NO SMOKE flavor at all. In fact, it tastes like a sweet pumpkin spice that has gone off its flavor profile. What the heck this is we don’t know but it sucks. This company does not accept returns so say goodbye to the $12 it costs just to see if it’s legit. Sooooo disappointing.

First of all, FreshJax products are fantastic. I've purchased other products from them in the past and been very happy with the quality. This time, however I was disappointed. Perhaps it's my lack of understanding as to what this is supposed to be. I purchased it to add some mesquite kick and smoky flavor profile to my weekly dinners. Beef stew and hamburgers. I was expecting more of a smoke flavor profile and as far as I can tell, there is none with this powder. That was disappointing. Second, the power is almost a talc consistency. The lid has holes like many spices do for shaking, but this powder is so extremely fine that it comes out really fast and it's easy to pour out too much, so I'd recommend taking the lid off and using a measuring spoon. First real disappointment from this line of spices. If I'm missing something, I'd love to know how to use this effectively in recipes. I can't distinguish any flavor.

This is the most horrible herb seasoning I have ever had. I wish I could return it. Terrible. And we love spices!!

This mesquite flavor is just fine. It could be a little richer.

I use this stuff on broccoli, cauliflower, and brussel sprouts. I am on a anti inflammatory diet, so all my spices are out the door (thanks nightshades). WIth this spice, and some smoked salt (San Fran Salt Co Alderwood FTW)... I feel like I am living again! I apply a liberal coat over some avocado oil spray, 375 for 30 min... it is heaven. The more you add the better it is.

I thought this product was rather pricey but had been looking for a good mesquite flavor for a while. I was very excited by its arrival then terribly disappointed with the flavor-or lack of.
