Grampa's Garden - Body Shawl Black Watch Flannel

I've used these for years. I usually order from QVC and have purchased many for myself and for gifts over the years. I didn't realize that these were available from Amazon until I discovered QVC sold out. Happy that Amazon carries and planning to buy more for Christmas gifts this year (Grandpas Garden does offer more color choices and covers). Hoping Amazon can also get more colors. Living in the northeast with bitter cold temps, I heat this up in the microwave, place in my bed, cover up, and these body shawls keep you warm almost all night. So much better than electric heating blankets, probably safer.I love the scent of fresh herbs in these. Another thing I discovered is that after shampooing, I simply heat it up in the micro, place it on my wet hair which I like to air dry without using a blow dryer, and my long hair usually dries beautifully in about 10 minutes. I have spastic natural curl, and this product does a wonderful job of eliminating unwanted friz, leaves hair shiny and silky smooth. Highly recommend this product which allows so much creativity.

This heating pad is amazing. Just a few minutes in the microwave and I get immediate help for my aching muscles. It's perfect for neck and shoulder tension as well as lower back pain. I like to heat mine up before I go to bed. It stays warm just the perfect amount of time to help me feel better and fall asleep, but not so long that I wake up too hot. I also like the weight, it helps me sleep. Highly recommend.

I received one of these a few years ago as a gift and have used it frequently ever since. It's perfect for sore muscles and I often sit in front of the TV with it resting across my neck and shoulders at the end of the day. The scent is soothing and the shawl stays warm long enough to help. I usually heat it in the microwave for 2 minutes and then turn it over and do again.Unlike a heating pad, the warmth penetrates and relieves with a scent that also comforts. My daughter enjoyed using mine so much on a recent visit that I ordered one for her and wish I had ordered more for other people on my list!It's worth every penny - and more - and something that will be used and enjoyed for many years!!!!

I had one of these for over 10 years. I patched it up with duct tape and kept using it.Glad to find it again. Helps with fibromyalgia pain and and too much gardening.

This heating pad has been a life saver for me. It arrived the day before I over stretched during a stretching class and my shoulders were in dreadful pain the next day. My new pad was put to work immediately and unlike my small microwavable pad, it was large enough to cover the entire painful area. I also have been using it on top of my yoga mat in the morning to have muscle relaxing warmth during stretching. As a fibromyalgia sufferer, I need heat on sore muscles not cold, but this pad can also be chilled. It fits perfectly in a pillow case.

This is the 3rd one I’ve bought. It’s very therapeutic and comforting. Stays warm for about 1 hour. I microwave it for 3 minutes 10 seconds, put it in my bed and it soothes me from my waist to the back of my knees.The “Black Watch Plaid” is so soft and comfortable.I highly recommended this.

My recent re-order was scented (too strong) and was not described that way on the ad. Lower durability for the high price. I still like the items overall, but I hate having to replace them every 4 months.

I received one of these second-hand from a neighbor. It was an older model with red plaid flannel which I see is no longer available. But I bought a new one for my 80-year old mother, it's the blue/green plaid flannel that's pictured.The body shawl gets heated up in the microwave and then placed anywhere on the body. We have used it mostly on the shoulders and back. Depending upon the ambient temperature, it cools down then needs another heat infusion from the microwave.What I like best is that compared to an electric heating pad, the body shawl is completely safe. No electro-magnetic fields. I can sit on it to warm my bottom, I can place it on my head and neck, even my chest without fear that the EMF is affecting my brain waves or my internal organs. This peace of mind is priceless to me.
