My daughter has only had one year of piano, but this book has been so good for her. She loves to be able to play hymns and will extend her practice when she is working on these hymns. They are easy for a beginner to play and so encouraging for her to play!

Very early in their piano journey little ones or adults too(!) will be able to play hymns they love! These Faber and Faber books have something for every level that has made my kids want to practice more just for fun. Occasionally lessons have been taught out of them, but I have tried to keep them as leisure so they have some fun choice about what they play and aren’t being graded or told what to do. It works! It is like having extra reading books around at their level when they are learning how to read. Just be sure to pick the books at or below their level. They love playing ones below the current level of learning because they can do it with confidence, yet they are still learning so it promotes “fluency”. We have had these for 6-8 years and they are still well loved and used.

My little girl has been playing the piano a few months and learning so far! She has already been able to do most of the songs in this book! She loves to play and sing at the same time. So it’s nice having a book of songs she knows so she can do both!

I have used this series of hymns for my students for many years. They enjoy the variety of hymns and I enjoy playing the duets with them which instills their listening, counting and practice skills.

As Advertised

This book worked well for my primer/level 1 student. He enjoyed playing the songs he hears at church. It makes his music exciting instead of just songs he's never heard.

Love these books but could be better songs in here and more harmonies. The disney book has way better harmonies

I am an adult with very limited piano abilities. I purchased this book to give me a larger variety of songs to play. It fits my level and I have enjoyed it.

This book is a great book for beginner players. most songs are in "middle c position" and easy enough to sight read for a bit of a higher level. A lot of familiar songs to choose from.

Easy for a beginner. My 7 year old loves playing her favorite hymns

Book is great, but once more it was bent in two and jammed into my mailbox. Can't get rid of the crease. It happens frequently and my instructions are always front door delivery.
