ARRIVED IN EXCELLENT TIME, EXCELLENT CONDITION, ABOUT HALF AN INCH LONGER THAN THE ORIGINAL GRANITE PESTLE FOR A 2 CUP MORTAR, SO, IN MY OPINION, EVEN BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL. I DO THINK $13 IS A LITTLE PRICEY, BUT BEATS SPENDING DOUBLE THAT FOR A WHOLE NEW SET. NO SIGN OF ANY FRACTURES IN THE STONE, IN WHICH CASE IT SHOULD LAST VIRTUALLY FOREVER. HAPPY WITH THE PURCHASE, A MORTAR WITHOUT A PESTLE IS A USELESS THING. GLAD THE PESTLE WAS AVAILABLE ON IT'S OWN. LAST ONE DISCARDED DUE TO MY OWN ACTIONS, ROLLED OFF THE COUNTER INTO THE TRASH, UNNOTICED. 2 CUP GRANITE MORTAR WITH REPLACEMENT PESTLE ORIGINAL SET OF 2 CUP GRANITE MORTAR AND PESTLE WITH LARGE AVOCADO

Spice grinder does what it is for, efficient and sturdy. A bit coarse looking but heavy enough to reduce to powder spices
