Null Modem Serial Cable
Made my old modem work again

Is it a null modem cable?
I needed a null modem cable for a particular application and I believe I tested the relevant pins but I couldn't get it working. In the end, I made my own which did work as expected. I'm not sure if this cable is defective or if it uses some standard(s) outside of my use case. The RX ad TX pins are swapped between one end and the other, however. Very strange.

It is a cable and it works. One thing to note, if you are using this for a powered device via the serial cable it won't work. Didn't realize this so in the end I did not use the cable. But it did work, just not as a power supply cable.
