View Quest Blighty portable radio.
This is a great little radio. It fits easily into a pocket. Good reception, even on stations such as Talk Sport, which can sometimes difficult to get on a portable radio. Good sound, easy to use. As soon as I turned it on it scanned for stations. I had a Pure pocket 1500 before which was great, but they stopped making it and replaced it with the Pure move 2500, which I didn't like. This VQ Blighty is much better, smaller and cheaper than the Pure radio. Very good buy. I'm glad I decided to get it. The only problem is that, unlike the Pure radios, the battery isn't replaceable so at the end of the life of the battery the whole radio has to be replaced. Had the battery been replaceable then I would have given it five stars.

Perfect in the Gym, on the train and generally out and about
Excellent in Gym, on Train, out walking!I was VERY unsure about which radio to choose. Up to now I'd been listening to LBC on my phone but data usage mounted up each month and I knew a personal radio had to be bought.I did seriously consider the Pure 2500 but didn't want to pay so much. I considered the Roberts Sport - slightly cheaper than Blighty - but preferred the red and cream look of the Blighty. The first one I was sent had slightly sharp corners - I contacted their customer service and they promptly asked for serial number and advised I arrange a return and replacement through Amazon and they would note the fault. The second I was sent has been superb.Battery life - I've been using it on DAB about 90mins daily and it's only gone down to 1 battery bar after a week so claimed battery life (so far) seems accurate.I've used it at both the Gyms I use. Sometimes, I'll get some 'burbling' on one or two DAB channels - nothing serious and usually it reverts to quality signal if I change the position where it's been placed. FM is usually fine although occasionally I'l have to switch to mono to avoid a stereo hiss but I tend to listen to Talk radio in the gym so no probs.I used it on the Grand Central Bradford to London train and it was MAGNIFICENT in Carriage C . Every Dab station was clear and not a burble! I rescanned stations once in London and it found close to 100! It was great to be able to flip stations from Radio 4, LBC, Radio 2, Aire etc and everything - Music or talk - was clear a s a bell and quality (apart from those pesky tunnels or when the banking was close and high - not often!I've kept the included earphone buds 'for non Gym use'. I found them to be very good providing a good range from Good bass to clear treble. It's worth noting that my Sony MDRZX310 on ear headphones only work in Mono. I checked this out with the View Quest customer service and it's a known possible problem with any headphones that have a mic. The radio circuitry often finds it tricky to work properly with any headphones that have 3 rather than the usual 2 bands on the little headphone plug (the 3rd band is for the Mic circuit). The sony phones worked properly only when I held the mic button down so be careful if you use other than the provided phones. That said, all my other non-mic buds and phones worked perfectly well.I keep my radio in a small Isnug case four protection when in the gym.It looks good, it sounds great but most importantly, it sounds great in all the places I wanted to use it.

Does the job
It’s ok. Looks better quality than it actually is. A good size for puting in your pocket and is easy to use. Done the job but perhaps is expensive for what it is in my opinion.

Worked great - for 30 minutes
I see many customers have positively rated this radio, but for me it worked for literally 30 minutes. Slowly over the next hour the digital display disappeared until there was literally nothing to see. For me it is simply unreliable and I can't buy it again and take the risk

Great little radio
Was happy to receive my radio very quickly. I love the vintage design. I charged it straight away which i think took a couple of hours. Headphones are included but I used my own and they worked perfectly. I was impressed with the sound and reception quality. It didn't take long at all for it to scan all the stations for the first time and be ready to use. The navi button to scroll through the stations is a little fiddly. I pressed the centre button a couple of times by accident. But soon got to grips with it. Also found the charge port in the device didn't seem to fit properly. By that I mean it didn't have that satisfying click as it fits in. But it charged up fine. All in all, I'm really happy with the radio.

I love this radio
This Quest Blighty radio caught my eye as being different and stylish as well as what I was looking for and I was not disappointed. I love the look and feel of it, the sound, the simplicity of design, ease of use (good instructions) and the low light black and white display. Even the ear buds were better than the ones I had been using in another radio. The reception (at home) is great and it has picked up as many DAB stations as our other DAB radios. It came promptly, was well packaged and about 80% charged which was great. It is too soon to say how long the charge lasts (I've only had it a couple of days), but I am hopeful it will be as good as the rest of the radio. The only thing that I would have liked is a 'favourites' option: it would be great to scroll between my favourite stations without having to go back to 'recall' but overall I am very pleased with my purchase!

Not quite what I required.
These radios DO NOT work as well as they are advertised. You will only get good reception in areas with a good phone signal. I take mine when I go fishing, ie in areas which are away from city centres etc where they are quite useless. This is not the fault of the item but needs to be considered when buying.
