make sure to apply thread locker to fan screws!
Working great so far on Traxxas Stampede 4x4 VXL (stock motor). You will need to buy a plastic piece to put on the end of the cable to plug it into the radio box for power. I've used mine for about 2 weeks now and put it through plenty of abuse. The very first thing I did was remove all of the fan screws and apply thread locker to all of them (because others said the screws fall out). Also worth mentioning that the fans are not water proof, don't run them in water (unplug them if your gong to get wet and let it completely dry before running them again). This brought my stampede motor temperatures down massively.

Love the fan, added a little mod to help with debri...
I purchased mine earlier this summer and I am very happy with performance. Knowing I run a lot in the grass and dirt conditions I added a screen over the top ( hot glued a piece of griddle screen - stiff ). It catches everything, preventing grass from getting in the fan. Here is a pic after a run ( I now have a dust cover to stop all this ). I generally run 20-25 degrees cooler then my friends without the fan... Great product. Oh yeah.... check the screws right away. This fix should also stop screws from coming loose/out.

Lowers Temperatures
I have had this fan for about a month now. I have removed the blade covers due to debris getting caught in the blades and stopping the fans. The fans do help keep the motor cooler, but dont eliminate high temps. It will not stay on the motor unless you zip tie it. If you dont it will fall into the driveshaft and cause some nasty sounds. Overall it does what it has been meant to do, durability of the product is still unknown.

Great budget fan.
So far all good runs great keeps motor kool , globact550 12t. running 15t pinion , w/54t steel spur. (ONLY THING NEEDED IS TO LOCKTIGHT SCREWS) ...(DO NOT OVER TORQUE SCREWS) IF YOU CAN FOLLOW THEM 2 SIMPLE REQUIREMENTS THIS FAN WILL WORK GREAT UNDER EXTREME DRIVE TIMES , TERRAIN, ETC...

The heat sink works ok but the fans are NEVER GOING TO WORK! The mounting screws need to be loose to get the fan to spin and then they fall out. The fan motors lasted maybe 5 minutes. There are no installation instructions at all. The fans would likely be destroyed by normal RC Truck stunts assuming they last long enough to get the truck off the bench. I suggest throwing the fans away and purchasing new fans which are readily available and just use one fan. The second fan does very little to cool the motor.

Works Okay
It seems to work okay. It keeps my motor's temperatures down about 10 degrees or so, but I think it could work even better if it actually fit on the motor well. When I put this on my Castle 3800kv Four Pole, there is a gap of about 2mm between the motor and the very top of the sink where the fans are mounted. The problem is, when the heat sink isn't actually making good contact with the motor, it's not really sucking as much heat away from the motor as it could be. I've used a few pieces of thermal pad to fill in the gap, but this seems to only work until I land my first jump, which causes the heat sink to come a bit loose on the motor, and then it's not making a good connection even with the thermal pads. Basically, it's an aluminum fan holder...which means it's going to help keep temperatures down, but not nearly as well as it could if the heat sink was making a good connection.

As described, no need to rotate motor on the Slash for it to fit, stays in place without wire ties. Can run my Brushless Slash all day long on 3s Lipo with no thermal shutdown.
