Couldn't be happier
I have had this case on my phone for ten months now and I've really grown to love it. There are a few aspects which require getting used to - the case limits access to the edges of the screen and the battery port can be tough to open - but once you get used to these things they just become part of the routine. Having the case has been really great for me; I've taken it tubing on the Delaware river as a music source, it's protected my phone from numerous spills and drops, and it just comes with a general peace-of-mind for my phone's well-being. Now, about a week ago I noticed that the back of the case somehow acquired a big crack right across the middle. I was nervous when I saw this since it was an $80ish case at the time and I felt like I remembered reading reviews that the company does not honor the warranty, but I decided to contact support anyway just in case. They initially asked me to just send in a picture of the case, dismantled, on a white piece of paper to identify the issue with the case. I did this as requested, and in response I was asked to send the product's serial number which, according to the company, should have been found on two small white stickers on the inside of the phone. Well, seeing as I couldn't find any stickers and had thrown out the original packaging when I first received the item, I figured they were just going to tell me to hit the road, Jack. When I assured the support group that there was no sticker on the inside, they asked for a few closer-up/detailed pictures of the inside of the case; I sent these and was immediately approved for a new case which is now being shipped to me (the company didn't even ask me to confirm my order number from Amazon or any details which might validate my purchase date). The service I received with this product is among the best customer service I've seen anywhere. Further, all of the emails I sent to the company were responded to within 15 minutes! I thought it was a fluke the first time, but it happened a good six or seven times throughout the process. Anyway. the main takeaway here is that the product is great and they will definitely work to make sure you're satisfied.

EXCELLENT case. Very impressed, will recommend to everyone I know.
I am a welder, and my phones were always getting dirty, or choked with magnetic dust from grinding. This case solved all of my problems. No dust gets in, nothing nasty is happening to my phone, and I couldn't be happier with the product. The earpiece is surprisingly clear, not muffled at all. People can hear me just fine, so this must mean that the microphone is not muted by the case. And the speakers sound terrific as well. Also, it doesn't have a heavy plastic window built into it that covers your screen. I hate those. They eventually get scratched and render the entire case useless. This one has a seal that actually seals around the border of your screen, and you apply a screen protector yourself to the glass on the phone. This means great response, great feel, and you can just replace the protector when it gets scratched, instead of replacing the entire case. I know it's expensive, but this is one occasion where you truly do get what you pay for. It's tough, waterproof (and dustproof), it's thin, and you can still hear and be heard while your phone is in it. If you have the budget for this case, you should definitely go for it!

Low-Profile, High-Quality Case
I prefer Lifeproof cases to Otterbox cases, as these cases are much slimmer and offer the same amount of protection (if not better) against water & drops. Very good all-around case, but it does have its drawbacks, as will any completely waterproof case. Pros: -Totally waterproof, I have even placed it in the shower to play music before (I can think of some other ways waterproofing an internet-capable device in the shower would be useful...hmmm...If that's your thing, of course) -Low profile. It doesn't make the phone much thicker or taller in your pocket. Compared to a beefy Otterbox case, I'll take this any day. -Fingerprint recognition still seems to work decently. The membrane over the touchID thing does still get a consistent print and unlocks my phone, but not as easily as it did without the case. It takes a harder press and still takes a second try sometimes. -Protection from scratches & spills. Most cases will offer you this. The screen on the nuud series is left unprotected, but I think this is a GOOD thing, having owned the regular lifeproof case for my iPhone 5s. I ended up returning the regular case because I felt it interfered with the touch screen too much. As long as you are careful not to put your phone in the same pocket as your keys, your screen should be fine. I've had my case for over 5 months and haven't scratched the screen once. Cons: -Adapter needed to plug in headphones. Although the case comes with 1 adapter, you need to screw the friggin' thing in every time you want to use a pair of headphones, or connect it to any AUX cable. Really Lifeproof?? You couldn't have made the headphone jack cover a LITTLE bit bigger so that most headphones could fit in it without needing your adapter? And couldn't you have added a snap cover like over the charging port so we didn't have to screw it in every time? I have found that the stock iPhone ear buds that come with the phone are skinny enough to fit into the case without needing the adapter. -Speaker interference. Well, the case totally seals all orifices of the phone, and the speaker happens to be one of them. Expect some overall volume reduction. Also, the phone case vibrates and makes the speaker sound like it's distorting the sound at louder volumes. This is a bit annoying when trying to listen to a video or music at higher volumes. -Microphone interference. Yes, you heard me right. Or did you now? Can you say that again, I can hardly hear you! That's what I get a lot when talking to people on the phone; speakerphone to be precise. I'm assuming that the case also covers the microphone completely, and interferes with others' ability to hear me. I know someone who also has the exact same phone and case as me and I tell her all the time to get off speakerphone so I can actually hear her. BOTTOM LINE- If you're considering getting a Lifeproof case, spend the extra 10 or 20 bucks and get the "nuud" one. After owning both, this one looks and works better. I'd still choose this case over an Otterbox case, because the Lifeproofs are much slimmer. Lastly, although this case has its problems, I have a feeling that any completely waterproof case is going to have the same/similar problems. To me, it's worth it to get a quality case that I know will protect my phone.

Best all-protective case
Perfect fit, light, really waterproof, delay to read your fingerprint, but it worth the wait. It is really useful to make your phone "washable" after answering a call while cooking, eating a messy hamburger, pork ribs or a trip to beach, you can wash the sand and sea salt like you wash your hands. I like to touch the screen directly without a screen protector hampering your screen interaction. Every screen protector I have used is no more crystal clear after some days. To carry the included aux cable adapter with you is not comfortable, I bought Bluetooth adapters for my electronics lacking it, and sent the adapter to a drawer. Little hard to clean the front camera protector, and you really need to. On ear call quality is 100% both ways. Speakerphone sound quality is like 75%, but the caller hear you 100%. The reception is almost not affected, I would say 5%. I don't know how long it will last, but I will buy another one for sure when the time comes.

Lives up to the hype, Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
I'm an avid river kayaker and nature photographer and after killing my phone in the river, I needed something that I could depend on. Enter Lifeproof. At first it seemed expensive, but when I considered the amount I paid per month for replacement insurance plus the premium to replace my phone, it ended up being pretty cost-effective. As recommended by the company, I submerged it in water using the included dummy "phone" to test its seals. So far, so good. I installed it on my phone and went on with my life. The next week, I was out on the river again and ended up in the water with my phone in my pocket. The verdict? It was like it had never happened. Once I wiped the water off the screen, everything worked exactly as before. In addition, it's survived multiple drops on to multiple hard surfaces without a scratch. After having read a few negative reviews, I have the following tips: - Test it. Test it again. Read the manual and test it. They give you a dummy phone for a reason. - Test it before getting into situations where it has to perform. - Make sure the rubber gasket is clean and free of debris. This is critical. - Make sure every snap closure around the gasket is properly snapped shut. This is also critical. - Make sure all ports are covered before going for a swim.

Great product but could be improved
Waterproof is great; Look good (stylish), back of iPhone is visible through clear back cover; Photo's turn out well; Comes with a test kit to "test" the waterproofing ability of the phone prior to installing the phone; Comes with a screen protector if you want one installed; Durability is awesome (already dropped phone a few times and no problems); You need the screw in cord adapter to listen with headphones (it's bulky and screw into the port); Ability of touch screen function is awesome (reccomend installing shield to protect touch screen); Fingerprint verification function on iPhone reduced signifacntly; Microphone and speaker quality reduced due to membrane protector but I can live with this since I use a headset most of the time; and, Ease of install and fit for my iPhone 5s awesome. Overall a decent protective case, but the microphone and speaker issues can be a pain! I work in the forestry sector and use my phone in the field frequently during heavy rains, snow and cold weather. it seems to be holding up. I sometimes like to use a regular case when not in the above mentioned conditions to to the limitations noted above.

Excellent case!
The case adds a little bit of bulk to the 5s, so it's a bit tighter fitting in a pocket, but it's not a big enough deal to cause problems. Overall I'm very happy with the case. It does it's job as advertised. I shower with it no problems, have dropped it a few times without issue and as long as the screen doesn't land flat on a pointed surface I think it will hold up just fine. Sound quality isn't changed any noticeable way and I don't have to talk any louder for people to hear me. The Touch ID also works pretty well, despite going through the thin protective film. It takes a little more precision placement of your finger, but once you adjust it doesn't hinder the Touch ID at all, which was a concern. A very good case, I recommend it.

Descent
So I've had the nüüd for my iPhone SE for about a month already. ive showered with it, rinsed it in the sink, spilled soda on it, and even some salsa too. I've dropped it, ive crushed it, and it's stood up just fine and did its job of protecting my phone. But I just cannot get myself to take it in the swimming pool. The sight of seeing my phone submerged haunts me. No doubt the case will do its job but I just can't!!! Another thing I'd like to cover is screen protectors, ALL SCREEN PROTECTORS MUST COME OFF. Or else the case will not fit properly over the phone. Another thing, this isn't a case to take off and on, if you put it on, keep it on. Prying it off will weaken the seals over time. Overall it's a descent case.
