My nephew likes to chew gum when he studies. He did the research and selected this brand because it is Apertame free. The mint and chocolate flavors taste really good and flavor lasts.

Great gum, great product. This is the best gum I've found without aspartame. My go to for sure, the flavor lasts and the gum is a great breath freshener.

I've seen other reviews where people say the flavor doesn't last long, but I think the peppermint flavor lasts a really long time. If you're just trying to freshen your breath, one piece will do. If you really want to chew the gum, I use two pieces. I like the large 55 piece package verses the individual 12 pack when using it for myself, but if you plan to share with others, or take it with you, I can see where the 12 pack would be handy. I keep a pack in my car and at my desk, so I can easily freshen up. I have issues with aspartame, so have avoided a lot of gums for years. I was so happy to find an alternative that tasted great, lasted a long time, and freshened my breath and mouth feel.

I take several medications which cause dry mouth, and xylitol is a great treatment for it, since it induces salivation. I've tried other xylitol gum brands, and none of them taste as good or last as long as PUR. I am a big fan of their peppermint, spearmint, and coolmint. Coolmint is the mildest and reminds me of Freshmint Tic Tacs. The peppermint is slightly stronger and tastes a lot like starlight mints. The spearmint is even stronger, and is sort of like Wrigley's Spearmint gum. I find the Wintergreen to be too strong--it's almost medicinal, vaguely reminiscent of Fisherman's Friends cough drops for about the first 20 seconds of chewing. I haven't tried the other flavors. I would recommend this gum to anyone who wants to chew gum. It tastes great, lasts a long time, and contains 1g of xylitol per piece.

I am chewing gum only for the dental benefits of the xylitol and only this brand. This flavor is my favorite and it is softer and stays much softer over time than my other favorite flavor of this brand, cinnamon. I chew 2 pieces of the peppermint at a time everyday at work after lunch and it is good in every way. Staying soft is a big deal to me because I have caps and generally don't want my jaw getting a workout either. It never sticks on my teeth (which store bought brands with sugar do) and some flavor remains even after a long time. I tried the 6 pack with all the flavors, but this is the one for me. Sometimes in the evening, I chew the cinnamon, which I need 3 pieces of at once for some reason for the same effect. The cinnamon is a great flavor, but takes a few minutes to get soft and then only stays soft for maybe 15 minutes or so, never really timed it. I am also happy with the ingredients in this gum; I am not aware of any harmful ones in this brand that are common in the others.

About a year ago, I learned I was allergic to aspartame. It is extremely difficult to find chewing gum that doesn't contain that chemical. I landed on PUR through an Amazon search and have totally fallen in love with the company. I love the fact that this gum is healthy for my teeth and mouth but the flavor, albeit great, only lasts for the first five or 10 minutes then diminishes quickly after that. I love the candy coating on the outside and the quality is good.

The initial flavor is great, but sometimes it does lose flavor too quickly. Not always. It might just be a quality/age issue from what is sent to us. We subscribe, so we don't run out. I have jaw issues & my doctor told me to "chew gum all day". I'm grateful for this option, without nasty, unsafe ingredients. Thank you!

Taste great
