I found it easy to install and comfortable to sit on. No need to reach under to blindly tighten a plastic bolt. Simply bend the silicon fastener up and drop it through the rim. Once you align the holes of the toilet seat with the holes in the rim, drop the metal bolts in and begin to tighten, which brings the fastener up to the back of the bowl to lock the seat in place. You can use a Phillips or a flat head, but my 6 inches by 3/8-inch flat head did the trick. The “Quite Close” silent and slow descent is a nice modern touch. It’s hard plastic so with the lid closed you can sit on it, but I wouldn’t recommend standing on it. The hinges are enclosed in plastic. Great design!

The seat is great. Fits perfectly, well-made, easy attachment system, and the quiet close feature is great. No more slamming toilet seat cover. Would purchase again.

As of 4/11/24 Installed pretty easily for a woman who has never replaced a toilet seat & lid before. There werent instructions so the gasket over the screw was confusing but once I figured it out, it was easy. Installed flawless after that but does wobble a tiny bit. It does have the slow close thing on it and works as expected.I will update if necessary.

The product came with clear instructions on the box that stated once you opened it that you couldn't return it. That's completely understandable. You are able to compare the size and color with the seat still being in the box.What I disliked was the lack of instructions being included. There's an option to scan a barcode to go online for help, but it basically didn't take you anywhere relevant. Most toilet seats are easy to figure out, but if someone is doing this for the first time then you would probably be confused.Installation only took about 5 minutes and the seat fits well and closes slowly (both seat and lid). It gives you a little extra elevation that you may not have in most seats for those who prefer that. Overall it works well, is easy to clean and seems to get the job done. Still a bit pricey though because I found another slow-close Kohler for $40 at Home Depot that works very well in my guest bathroom, but isn't as elevated. I do think that this one is easier to clean than the HD-bought one.

No instructions in the box. There are literally hundreds of how to videos for Kohler online. Save yourself some frustration by using the product number in the sort. It’s your best friend for this project!Toilet seat is fine. Lid Doesn't slam. Comfortable to sit on. Super basic, does the job. Installation super quick once the directions were located.

This toilet seat fits perfectly, does not slam when you close it, has very few parts to assemble, and installs in five minutes.I’m very happy with this toilet seat as it is very comfortable and easy to clean.

If you have issues, just look on YouTube for Kohler ReadyLatch Toilet Seats.We have a Glacier Bay toilet but the seat was driving my crazy with the slamming!!! So, I replaced the GB seat with this one! Super design and really easy to install. Just WATCH the Kohler-made installation video as the Kohler seat does NOT come with any instructions!!!

We use this toilet seat for 2 of our bathrooms - Best toilet seat ever!Easy to install, and love we can remove the seat completely to clean.Our first one has been installed for 2 years and no any parts are broken yet!I found price is expensive but seems that is these days market price for the type of toilet seat.
