Mixes and applies well
Purchased this and the JB Weld 40007. I highly prefer this 40004 over the 40007 as far as both the combining/thoroughly mixing of the products for activation. I also experienced the 40004 applies much easier and creates a better bonding seal. Multiple surfaces were treated and prepped with the liquid JB wood restore and allowed to dry. In all of my experiences the 40004 was superior in every way. We prepared, applied, let dry, primed and painted and hope the product will last a long time to avoid having to replace some vinyl windows as whomever installed them did not get the tin close enough which allowed the surrounding wood to rot in places.

Works Great!!
I have a covered patio that had some wood rot. I saw this on a Youtube video and it was so easy to use I thought I would try it. It works exactly like it should. I removed as much of the rotted wood I could and mixed the putty together with the small bit of the activator and it worked great. Drys really quick and I was able to sand it and paint over it. You would never know that it was rotted before!!!

Decent if used carefully
Be very careful with the stuff. It dries extremely hard which is a positive as long as you don’t goop on too much initially. Sandpaper does not work you really need a file or hasp to get off excess. Very good adhesion to existing wood.

Great to repair rotten wood!
Bought to repair some tongue and groove enclosed porch floor boards and was very skeptical. I cleaned out all the rotten places and drilled holes and added wood stabilizer really well and let dry for several days then mixed up small batches of JB. About a golf ball size scoop and streamed a heavy line across it with the hardener and mixed for a minute with a scraper and started filling the areas that needed filled. I continued until everything was like I wanted. It was so easy. And worked great. Now to sand and paint.

Horrible
I have used this product several times before and it worked great. It always came in two cans of equal putty and hardener and was easy to work with. This time it came with a can of putty and a small tube of hardener which had leaked out about 30%. The putty is very watery and hard to work with for my application.

Tough Enough
Material is super tough and versatile. A good choice.

Great alternative to wood putty
This worked perfect after trying different types of wood filler/putty to fix a window that was cut snaller on one side. Pro tip -Use painter's tape where possible to make less mess and perfect lines and use a an electric sander. It sands right out with no problem.
