Tool Helped With Camshaft Removal
This tool was used on a 2013 Dodge Avenger SXT. I replace all the roller rockers and valve lash adjusters and needed to remove the camshafts to do the job properly. The tool was somewhat easy to use. The hard part was linking up all the teeth on the cam sprockets to get the locks in place to remove the cam sprockets. The left side of the engine was easier then the right. Make sure you mark everything well with a paint marker to keep the timing correct.

Mostly worked
Worked good on right side but left side didn’t work right. Ended up marking and taking off phasers, releasing the tensioner w the metal pick , push guide in by hand and putting needle nose vise grips on it to hold.

Did not work as it should have.
The cam phaser block which had "RIGHT" stamped on it DID NOT FIT the "RIGHT" cam phasers. The block which was stamped "LEFT" fit the "RIGHT" side cam phasers. On these transverse engines, you effectively stand "BEHIND" the engine or on the driver's side of the vehicle in order to determine, "left and right" banks of cylinders. So the "RIGHT" side is the cylinder head near the firewall, the "LEFT" side is at the radiator or front of the vehicle... So the phaser block for the "RIGHT" side was being damaged as I tried using a wrench on the cams to turn them slightly so that the block would fit. It made no sense to me why it would not fit in either orientation with the lettering upright or down, NOR did it make sense for TWO supposedly UNIQUE tools to have exactly the same ID number "10202A" stamped on them. You'd expect something similar to, "LEFT 10202A, RIGHT 10202B" to indicate an actual difference...The other problem was the "10369A" and it was the absolute worst. It's no "secret" how to use the tool. You simply angle it forward towards the front of the vehicle as you slide it down between the two cam phasers on the "RIGHT" cylinder. There is a bolt which the slot in the tool "glides on" down onto the timing chain guide or at least, that's what it was supposed to do. The tool simply glided down onto the bolt and bottomed out, it did NOTHING to press on the timing chain guide to relieve tension. A wooden ice cream stick would've had about as much use as that cheap tool which in fact twisted and made a mess of leaving tiny bits of plastic behind... It's bad enough to have to go through the nonsense of "making this repair" because of the poor build quality of Dodge/Chrysler but then to get so far into a job only to be halted by a cheap piece of plastic, is inexcusable.

Good by half. Barely worth the $15.
Cam phaser locks were OK. Tweak the alignment if it doesn't fit right away. A little bit makes a difference. Went into place by giving them a tap with the palm of my hand. If you are using a hammer, you probably shouldn't be doing this job. Hire a mechanic. As for the tensioner tools, they suck. I was able to remove phasers and cams on the right side without tensioner tool. Left side requires using the release pin to release the ratcheting mechanism. Kit should also include a lock pin to lock the ratcheting mechanism in the retracted position. I had the correct gauge wire in my shop to make one. No problem.
