Got it to work for me!
After owning this for about 6 months, I finally figured out how to make this work for me, and I love it! I didn't receive a free product or discount nor was asked to write a review. I never write reviews, but I figured I had to do this as a public service since the instructions are not great. Before I begin, I want to make it clear that I only use this device for the tweezer function. I’m a female and have stray gnarly pitch black and bright white under-chin and neck hairs. I made the mistake of plucking them years ago and have been paying the price ever since. Here are a few pointers I learned to make this product work great for me. Adapt them to yourself and see what happens. 1. I keep the tweezers and wire permanently attached to the main unit. On my previous device, I would attach and remove the wire and tweezers with every use and that loosened something and the tweezers stopped working. I actually think it was the wire that stopped working. Now that I keep them permanently attached, there are no problems. 2. I keep a small cup of salt mixed in water nearby. I soak my fingers that will hold the tweezers in it, wipe off excess, and then turn on the power. It will beep without even touching hair and will start working. I feel that the current comes through its strongest too. Before I started soaking my fingers, I felt that the current was weaker. 3. I have tested that my skin doesn’t pit or scar with use. I have zapped a single hair up to 10 times at one time before it slid out. Yes, my hairs are that stubborn. 4. I read somewhere else that if you zap a hair a few times and it doesn’t come out, leave it alone for a while because the “killing the root process” is still working. I usually come back to it the next day. Eventually, it’ll come out. 5. In my experience, I don’t always get lye coming out, but it’s still working. The hair still slides out after a few zaps. 6. Hairs have grown back that I had successfully zapped and slid out effortlessly. After a few growth and zap cycles, they do stop coming back permanently. I also read somewhere else that the hair will grow back if there is some root left until eventually the whole root is destroyed. In my experience, finer hairs stopped growing back sooner. The thick, stubborn ones need multiple rounds of zapping. I think my salt water step, #2, has speeded up this process since I began doing it. The reason I’m giving this 5 stars and not knocking down stars is because I’m sooo grateful this product exists and works for me. The other popular and affordable brand of electrolysis device sold here on Amazon didn’t work for me. I can’t afford professional electrolysis and laser treatments. Besides, a few of my gnarly hairs turned white so laser wouldn't work anyway. I can also do this at my own convenience. I don’t know what I would do if this product didn’t exist. I don’t understand why there are a ton of at-home laser hair removal systems available, but not many affordable electrolysis devices. If somebody made some improvements, this would be a rockstar with a huge demand.

cheap and does not do what it advertises
I did some research after using this a few times and even hooking it up to a multimeter, the output is nowhere near enough to kill hair follicles. All this does is circulate low level DC voltage through your skin. It does not stop hair growth. What this product does not tell you up front is you have to tweeze every single hair after every use, and the very nature of tweezing your hair that many times in a row will make your hair thinner because hair grows in stages. Bottom line: save your money and have a professional with a lifetime guarantee remove unwanted hair. Unfortunately, this is not one of those things that you can do yourself or cheap out on.

Patience can not be overstated
All those who are claiming 'sham' on this device probably do not understand the electrolysis process. The US government is VERY strict on products claiming 'permanent hair removal'. I am a TG and I know a thing or five about unwanted facial hair. I went through 2 years of costly electrolysis, with very little long term success, because I didn't know the difference between thermolysis and galvanic processes. What you receive from this device is a severely hampered galvanic treatment. This is the misunderstood science behind the destruction of hair folicles. It is NOT the electrical charge, nor the heat that it generates, that kills the roots. What the electricty does, is to excite the water molecules in the bulb of the folicle, which causes a chemical reaction, thereby seperating the water molecules and converting them into sodium hydroxide (lye) It is the corrosive properties of this chemical compound which permanently destroy the folicle. This is also why products like 'Nair' remove hair at the surface. Don't believe me, then look it up! If you understand all of that, then you must realize that this thing is going to take a REAL LONG time to achieve ANY result at all. You can't just whisk it across your face like a quick shave, and expect to be smooth and free for a lifetime. So here's my personal experience with the product. I have used it about 15 times on my upper lip. I'd like to use it more, but i pretty much need to shave daily for my job, and don't get the opportunity to get enough growth so that i can tweeze the hair afterwords. i have CONSIDERABLY less dense stubble throughout the treated area. I used to let it grow in for a few days about once every 3 months so that i could tweeze the entire area. Otherwise, the area would just become too rough to maintain a feminine appearance. I haven't had to do that in over a year now, because of the NOTICABLE improvement I have experienced. This product (and I'm sure there will be many better followers to come), is probably going to make professional electrlysis obsolete, but it's going to TAKE SOME TIME! Unfortunately, this thing is cheaply made, and sometimes my 'contact' light doesn't come on, but it still appears to be doing the job. The science behind it gets a 'five' ... and i can't wait until higher quality devices begin to show up to replace the 'three' rating that i had to give to this particular product.

Ne fonctionne pas bien. Autant d'acheter juste une pince a épilé.

The product arrived on time, as described, functional and without defect. However, some sources say that transdermal electrolysis units like this one do not work, and it will be weeks or months before I know for sure because it can only treat actively growing hairs... therefore, the number of hairs that can still grow should thin over time but it will take a while to see results. It's possible that removing hairs before applying the current will increase the odds of it working. If not for the uncertainty, I would give it 5 stars.
