Great value package.
Got the orange fly line, green backing, 6wt. Haven't had a chance to fish it yet, but quality looks very solid. Backing install was easy (5 mins). Fly line is just a coil and a major pain in the butt to detangle to install (30 mins untangle; 5 min install). If not for the super-annoying fly line packaging I would give this 6 stars easy. Hell, I'll buy it again in a heartbeat, but a spool for the fly line would be worth the extra cost in purchase price. Like the 3 included leaders, 1 tippet spool, and 2 loop connectors. My loop connectors were green with an orange fly line, which seems like an odd choice (why not match them?), but you can barely see the loop connectors anyway. Buying more now!

It catches fish
I bought this solely on the fact that it was cheap, I hadn't used a 3Wt rod before, and wanted to try it out. I works. It's supper slick, good and strong and arrived soon. There are several reviews that complained that it doesn't come on one of those cheep spools and seriously, why would it need to?? It does come taped so it isn't a nest in the package, and if you pay attention when you spool it, it won't cause any problems. I pulled the tape off, set a full can in the middle of the ring of line, and spooled it onto my reel. Easy-Peasy.Noticed that it needed wiped after a 5-day trip to a mineral spring-fed lake, but after a good, firm swipe with a clean rag it stayed plenty slick. Most of the fish caught on that 5-day trip were small Kokanee (40-50) but this also held up under a solid 18" Brown, and a 19" Rainbow. The knots held firm without any squeezing or slipping.A great product for the price, worth the money. It doesn't have welded loops, but that shouldn't matter because you already know how to tie your floating line to the backing and leader, right? I can't figure why so many people complained about that...For less than $10 it is a fantastic buy.

Good Line, great price!
I recently purchased the weight forward 7 line for a spare setup that I was putting together for a friend. I spooled it onto a Maxcatch Explorer fly reel that I also purchased through Amazon. The line arrived as advertised, and came wrapped and secured with some pipe cleaner to keep it from coming unraveled.I had a bit of trouble getting it on to my reel, as the coils of line came loose and got tangled. Would be nice to have it packaged on a spool.I took the spare combo out to try it, and was impressed with the feel of this line. It loads nicely, the belly section of the 7 wt was plenty long enough to cast the flies I needed it to, and both ends of the taper were well thought out. The line is slick and goes through the guides smoothly. It casts large bass flies and clouser minnows with ease.Overall, a good fly line for launching bugs and larger flies, at least in the 7 wt. I'll be purchasing this line again.*edit: been using this line for around 6 months on local lakes and ponds, and it is now exhibiting some minor cracking. Had to treat it with a fly line sealant. It still floats fine, but is not as durable as other brands I have owned. Still a great product for the casual user though, damage only occured with 100+ hours of use.

Really can't complain about any of it
I've been fishing with these lines and other items for three years now, and I have no complaints at all. The lines, backing, and tippets have performed perfectly for me. The braided loop connector worked very well, but I did remove it in favor of a nail knot because I didn't like how it would hang up on the tip top guide whenever it got reeled into the guides. I now have several different sizes of these fly lines and am very happy with the price and quality.

Good so far.
I've only had one chance to try this line out but so far it seems to do the job just fine. Now mind you, I'm not an expert fly fisherman or a gear guru. I'm just a guy who likes to fly fish and has a variety of affordable rods, reels, and things that support my fishing habit. Cheers!

Can’t say cus I’m a newby ..
New to flyfishing so I picked this stuff up cheaper than many of the lines but it seems to be really good ….but I’m a newby so Who knows … much cheaper than many others .. The color is vibrant for sure .. can’t wait to get to my lessons and give it a try .. This line has no premade loops or anything like it you must tie your own . It’s supple and has little memory.. Doesn’t come on a spool making it a pain to untangle before you spool up .. for the price I think it’s OK .. for a beginner… not a pro or someone who knows fly fishing ..

Maxcatch always provides a quality product with many extras.
I have continued to buy Maxcatch products, they are quite durable provided you take care of them and clean/wash them when needed. The weight-forward fly line cast nicely and accurately, and, the extra leaders/tippets is a welcome addition for a very good price. Good products, and Thank You from a loyal user.

Not bad for price
Obviously this isn't a specialty fly line for your 200 dollar reel but I love old fly reels and this was a great way of giving them life without breaking the bank. I didn't need anything fancy and was just looking to put something on to fight some stocker trout occasionally with a vintage reel and rod. Great for getting started or just spooling up an old reel.
