PAR64 WFL LED Bulb 40W Replace Traditional 500w PAR64 Dimmable 120° Warm White 2700~3000K 120V GX16D

This bulb was great. It uses much lower wattage than the old bulb, so it doesn't put out much if any heat. The wide spread of light lit up all around it.

Purchased 8. It was quite concerning that after 5 months in place, 4 lights stopped working over the next 4 weeks! All with less than 500 hours of run time. Took awhile but they replaced all four under warranty. 12 months after that, 12/15/24, another light went out. I have been emailing repeatedly for 6 weeks and not a single reply. These carry a two year warranty. These also have no ‘angle’ at all. Wired the light while holding it, turned off all lights. There was no change in the light pattern while rotating the light a full 360 degrees. They are not as bright as the 500w they replaced, especially at height of ~28ft but we were able to run two bulbs in a fixture where previously we could only run one incandescent due to the heat in generates. When they work, they do a decent job.

The Light was expensive, however, after calculations, I fully recovered my cost in 11% of the year. It was well worth the cost.

We replaced 300 watt par56 incandescent lamps with these. They don’t seem to be as bright but these are a wide beam spread. The 300 watt were a medium spread so not a direct comparison. We like the overall evenness of the LED’s.

Excellent color temperature. Plug and play in your existing par cans. Runs cooler and uses far less energy.

This bulb is incredibly dim compared to the standard 500watt par64 bulb it is supposed to be replacing. It also has an incredibly wide throw compared to the original. The color temperature is much cooler than expected. If you're looking for a replacement for a 500watt par64 incandescent bulb, keep looking. It does dim. I will give it credit, it does dim with an analog dimmer pack.
