Perfect little blender buddy
I have too much of an attachment to this blender. From the price point, the ease of use, the reliability whatever it is.. it’s just perfect. I make a protein shake everyday with a few ice cubes, protein powder, a banana, and milk. There is no other blender I would want. I even had this same exact one in red for YEARS and it still worked perfectly fine but for some reason I donated it ??? I just thought I’d buy a more expensive “better” branded one but why?? Well I missed it so much I had to buy a new one. I accidentally dropped the cup and the bottom is cracked now BUT it still works just fine and I love it. I clean it with a big bottle brush after use. I will always rebuy this cheap blender because it is the best for my daily shakes and I love it.

Gets job done fine, but is weak...
Decent one cup blender. It works pretty good and has some neat features. What I like: can blend and drink from cup. Small and quick to use. Easy to clean up. Dislikes: not very powerful. Develops a weird smell from the motor if you're blending for too long. I really think the motor is a bit underpowered for what it's doing. The cap has a slightly weird fit which could be improved. Overall pretty good for the price, but I would probably invest in a more durable, higher powered one in the future.

Love it!
I recently got this portable blender and I’m really happy with it. It’s super convenient to take on the go and blends smoothies and shakes quickly without leaving chunks behind. The size is perfect for single servings, and it’s easy to clean afterward, which I love. The design feels sturdy and the lid locks securely, so I don’t have to worry about spills. It’s not meant for super heavy duty blending, but for fruits, protein shakes, and small smoothies, it works perfectly. Overall, a simple, practical, and portable blender that makes daily smoothies so easy.

Nice blender, like the fact that the cup can be used to drink out of directly.
Nice reasonably-quiet blender with good-quality gears between the cup and motor. Blends well, very functional, made of a heavy plastic that looks very durable and it has held up well to normal use for a couple of months now. Good value for the money. Though I don't use it often, I do like that the lid doubles as a drinking cap, so if I want to just make a smoothie or something and drink it straight out of the blender cup I don't need to dirty another glass just to drink it. It's a nice touch.

Not durable if using frozen fruit.
Well, I am just a glutton for punishment. I just ordered this for the 5th time in 3 years. They seem to be pretty good until month 6 or 7. I only blend two things, a milk,-powder-frozen banana smoothie or a milk-powder-ice cube latte. The first time it stopped working, the nylon gear in the base had become shredded and would not catch. I thought this was because I was pressing on the lid so hard to make sure it did not leak. The next time the machine failed, it was the prop support in the cup, which turned but did not engage the blade. . Third time it failed, the blade in the cup was not able to push hard enough to chop the frozen fruit. I had the cup from the previous machine but it only lasted a few months more. This time, the blade does not resist the frozen bananas. It turns if empty, and can swirl liquid around, but the frozen banana, blackberries or ice cubes are too hard. I really am attached to my morning smoothie and love the ease of use of the little blender. Last experiment to keep the next blender alive, I will freeze the bananas in smaller chunks, not in the 5 or 6 inch lengths.

It can make great smoothies
Why not try a $20.00 blender? After all, in this day and age a chuck roast, a few gallons of gas, a pair of leggings, a dog toy each cost $20.00. So, the answer is the same as the question...why not! 'Buy-It-Now" button, here I come!! Hamilton Beach has been around since 1910 pioneering the mid-price, small appliance industry, and their appliances have served me well for almost 50 years. The blender arrived the same day as it was ordered dictating that the art of smoothie making was about to begin! As always, I read the included instructions; the safety tips/warnings are quite detailed. First I crushed some ice in a vintage ice crusher as I was uncertain if the little miss could handle ice; however, the stats assure that it does. Next I added sweetened (with Splenda) sliced strawberries, chunks of water melon, unsweetened non-fat greek yogurt, and bits of the crushed ice. I pushed the button and away she went...whirring and swirling until a pink, frothy mixture began to emerge. It only took a few minutes before it was ready to taste. Delicious it was! But quickly it became just a liquid drink not a thick, luscious smoothie. I did learn to be sure to close the slide for the drinking spout; yep, some found its way to the outside world. Cleaning the blender was easy; I washed the two pieces by hand. and wiped off the motor. The next morning I considered myself a bit wiser and started off with pouring about 1/4 C milk into the blender cup then added chunks of one frozen banana, a handful of sweetened frozen strawberries, 1 scoop of protein powder, and about 3/4 of the yogurt again (this time sweetened with Splenda); no ice this time. I pressed the button, and she roared into action. With this smoothie I had to take the lid off several times and using a table knife, mix the contents. Soon a very thick, pink concoction took form. I poured it into an insulated cup and ate it with a spoon. It was a delicious, creamy, dense concoction. I had indeed made my very first real smoothie! Success thanks to this little Hamilton Beach blender. This handy-dandy little blender is quite petite weighing 2 pounds and only modestly powerful at 175 watts. The cup/bowl portion is a clear hard plastic with a raspberry colored (green and blue were the other color choices) lid and motor section. The lid does not snap or twist on. There is one on/off button that must be held down for the motor to turn on; there is only one speed. The blade does not remove, is 4 pronged, and is small. One nice little extra is a groove around the base of the motor for the cord to be wound and tucked out of sight and safely away. I don't think I will use this long term, but will pass it on to some little friends who with their parents, will have great fun making smoothies. However, my experience was very positive and I have no reservations recommending it. Top 3 Likes: -Petite, efficient, compact -Personal, portable unit -Produces excellent smoothies with good recipe Top 3 Dislikes -Unable to securely seal the lid on top of the cup -Limited versatility -Not conducive to traveling i.e. in a backpack, car, etc.
