ShaniTech Dummy Dome CCTV Security Camera with Flashing LED Indoor Outdoor Fake

Ideal to put up to deter thieves as it looks pretty real with the flashing red light and a decent price.

We had a previous version of this mock camera for over 5 years to ‘protect’ the pathway to our front door. However the internal electronics and battery compartment in particular, gradually got more corroded up to a point where the flash light stopped working. Given the low price of the camera I decided to buy a new one as I’m quite pleased with it. Thus the main drawback is that we use it outdoors, fixed with velcro under our front door canopy. But as it is not really an outdoor device (it lacks proper component sealing) the elements will eventually have an impact. Secondly, even though it is supposed to be a very low-power consuming led lamp I still have to replace the 2 AA batteries every three months - by cheap high street discount store batteries. Thus battery life is a little disappointing. For the rest its very easy to put in place - I recommend my velcro-with-sticky tape solution.I think the dummy camera looks good and acts as a deterrent. Most of my guests and neighbours, that admittedly are not seasoned burglars as far as i know, initially think it is a genuine security camera. In fact, it complements a couple of actual camera’s that secure our premises, including a front door Ring.The problem with security measures is that you’ll never know if it works and really deters with you remain spared of crime.

Easy to put up. Batteries last a couple of weeks if you leave it switched on all the time( don't use cheap bateries). Definitely does not have motion detection though. Bought 1 last year and another 2 this month for the side of the house.

Looked authentic but sadly the on / off switch did not work but a fast and efficient refund service when returned.

I like the way it presents itself as the real theing

The dummy CCTV camera doesn’t work by pressing the glass dome down. I’ve no idea if the sensor works as the red light flashes continuously. However it looks the part, and for what I need it for (implying Santa is watching from Lapland) it works fine.

Very easy to install , batteries last ages , would buy again

The light inside is very movable which it shouldn't be like the inside is broken . The light works tho and resembles a camera but poorly made
