UPDATE: I have continued to use this filter for over 3 years now and it has continued to hold up and perform very well! This is an excellent quality filter; far better than the "gold" and plastic filters. It is well constructed, very easy to clean, and quite strong/ durable. Because it is stainless steel, it does not absorb any flavors or odors as the plastic of the gold filters can. I highly recommend this filter. Additional Review After 1 Month's Use: I wouldn't change my initial review and would still highly recommend this filter but I will note 1 design flaw and 1 feature to be aware of. The feature to be aware of is that the filter may sit higher in your coffee maker than the plastic "gold" filters do and will need to be firmly seated for the top of your coffee maker to close fully (such is the case with mine). It also, because it sits higher, holds the coffee grounds higher up. The flaw is in the attachment of the handle for lifting the basket; it becomes more notable because of the firm fit of the filter (due to the circumference of its outer rim). The handle protrudes into a slight simple on 2 sides of the basket and can occasionally pop off. It can easily be relocated into the dimples and is nothing more than a slight inconvenience. All in all, I still consider this an excellent filter and assume it will last a long, or longer, than my Cuisinart coffee maker!

I think the reason this gets returned is due to the shape and the size. I’m not actually sure what it’s supposed to be for. However, it works great for my purpose: a quality reusable pour over filter. I heat water up in the microwave, put this filter in a tall coffee cup, add coffee and pour hot water over it. It’s slightly big for most cups but it still works fine because the ground coffee stabilizes it in the cup. The benefit to the larger suze is that it’s easier to clean. So if you want a high quality reusable filter to make quick and easy pour over coffee - this filter works great.

I drink coffee every day. I am using a Cuisinart and this basket works very well. Removal and cleaning are easy and it fits snuggly in the basin.

Update: I’m using a paper filter between this metal filter and a clever method and it works well. It allows coffee to flow much faster from the clever to the cups with little clogging. This way I’m able to pour faster while still getting a clean cup with no coffee residue at all. Buy it if you want to use it this way. Old review: If you are into high quality coffee, you want a clean cup with all its flavor, bright and clear. This filter is good for someone who does not care about some coffee debris sneaking into their cups. I prepared a coarse coffee cup and even though it was a coarse grind, some debris managed to get into the coffee cups, I can’t even think of a fine or medium coarse grind preparation, this filter will not do a good job. I recommend sticking with a decent quality paper filter instead.

I have been using this filter for over a year and can recommend it. It just works, it's easy to clean and does a great job.

Good buy, except the powdery coffee drains into the cup. I fixed that by melting plastic on the bottom of the filter. That is easier and faster than grinding my coffee in a way that does not make powdery grounds. I use a burr grinder.

Definitely a better choice than ones with a reinforced ring around the top. Most dimensions are all the same, its a #4 cone filter, but I have an older Krups 229 that the cone filter needs to be more narrow than perfectly round. This one is sturdy enough you can compress it just enough to get it inside the filter compartment and use it correctly.

This is just okay. It fits fine in my Cuisinart 10-cup coffeemaker but the construction seems a bit on the cheap side. I have a pour over filter that has holes on the outside as well as a fine mesh filter on the inside that prevents sediment from leaking through. This filter just has holes and the top of the carafe has sediment pooled on the top, which drips off into my cup when I go to pour a cup. The tack welds don’t appear to be very robust and I doubt this will even last a year. I don’t personally think there is enough value for money here to make it a better choice over the gold tone permanent filter that can with my coffeemaker.

Does the job!

Fits well for the Breville Aroma Style machine (slightly smaller than the supplied filter for the machine). Works well and no major issues with it.

Best reusable coffee filter I’ve ever bought. Fits my filter coffee machine perfectly, brews really nice coffee and really easy to clean. Really good quality! Want to buy another one but unfortunately not available any more. Please bring it back!
