Hard to believe that a magnet can go bad. Always test the least expensive part first. Easy to do and easy to replace. After 7 years of opening and closing the door it finally stopped working.

Switch worked, missing parts.
Magnetic switch worked fine. (Normally open) Missing parts. The item was described as magnetic switch plus toggle switch and cover plate. This was and still is also as it shows in the picture. Toggle switch and cover plate was not included in the shipment.
