This mailbox looks good, it’s nice and sturdy, and it’s very well manufactured. The keyed lock works really smoothly and has no sloppiness at all to the mechanism. A 10 inch X 13 inch manila envelope fits easily in it. I don’t know about waterproofness because I’ve got mine located under a covered porch. There is one flaw, aside from the inadequate spacers. You have to lift up the lid in order to open the front hatch. It’s an annoyance, but not a deal breaker. For anyone who’s interested, the hole spacing on the back of it are as follows: Horizontally, the holes are 265 mm apart on center. Vertically, the holes are 192.5 mm apart on center. The four holes are 13/64 inches in diameter (a 13/64” diameter drill bit fits in them perfectly. So that’s just a tad more than 5 mm. The two bottom holes are 83.5 mm from the bottom edge of the mailbox to the centers of the holes. The total height of the mailbox on the backside is 14.75 inches to 14.875 inches (the hinged lid bows up in the middle). The total width of the mailbox is 14-9/16 inches. This is the total length of the hinge pin. The spacers between the back of the mailbox I got and the wall needed to be about 24mm (15/16”). The rubber spacers provided are about 12 mm long, so if they’re used, extra spacers would be needed to provide adequate clearance from the wall. Myself, I discarded the rubber washers and used a combination of stainless 1/4 inch x 28 fine thread hex nuts and 1/4 inch washers as spacers on each mounting screw. For the mounting screws themselves, I used 12 x 2 inch pan head sheet metal screws, stainless and square drive. This was for mounting on wood siding. One note: the mailbox contracts in cold weather, causing the lid to bow even more severely and scrape the wall even worse when opening it. For the mailbox I got, 15/16 inch spacers provided enough clearance on sub-freezing days.. It works great and I highly recommend it!

Nice box with two keys. I used this for my self serve firewood stand. Also has convenient mounting holes The flap prevents rain from getting inside. It’s been out in the weather for 6 months and no rust. I’m happy.

We use this box on our tea boxes at the golf course for the honor system to put money in if the pro shop is closed. Very sturdy and easy to install.

The color is really pretty and it works perfect for what it’s intended to do.

After a year out in the wind, rain and snow on our lighthouse, where it is used as a donation box, I can say that it is holding up just fine; no rust or other deterioration.

Well made, I wish they made a larger version of this as it is increasingly hard to find safes or strongboxes with padlock security. I don’t like strong boxes with built in locks as keys can be lost & it is difficult to then replace the locks or get new keys cut.
