Higgins Intune Natural Hand Feeding Baby Bird Food Formula, 5lb

I have tried another well known brand of formula and never liked it because of the gritty lumpy texture. This formula blends up so smooth. It smells wonderful and the babies I've hand fed with it really love it. I always end up making more than I need at one time, but it's ok because my adult birds actually enjoy this as a treat too and will beg for it when they see it. I use a few different Higgins foods for my birds. I was very impressed with the quality of their formula. I highly recommend this formula to anyone hand raising babies

Using this for hand feeding parrotlets. This is a good quality hand feeding formula. It tastes and smells great. Never had any problems with any of the babies on it, and they all seem to really like it. We have one adult female who was raised on it, that still likes to eat it! (No, this is not a main part of her diet. We only give her a little bit when mixing it for her babies.) It mixes very well (and easily) and is not lumpy, which is important for making thin formula for very young babies and feeding through a syringe. Keeps well in the freezer between clutches. Worth the cost.

I hand feed baby birds and they all enjoy this. Parakeets, green cheek conures, Bourkes, lovebirds, etc.

I switched from Goldenfeast due to lack of supply through Amazon. The reason I chose InTune is due to the strict dietary requirements of Eclectus. I have all my birds on an Eclectus friendly diet for convenience. I initially discovered this food thanks to researching handfeeding formulas and Higgins InTune is the ONLY one without dreaded sunflower seeds and utter junk. So I invested in this freaking giant bag of pellets because it was so much cheaper than spending $30 a month. I only have 3 birds right now so I bought the Iris dog food storage set. This bag fills both the bottom and top container completely. It needs to be kept airtight to avoid horrid pantry moths that seem to show up with all bird food. No issues there so far. My only reason for 4 stars- each bird leaves the green pieces in their dish. Their poop is a nasty reddish orange color and smells a lot worse than when on Golden'obles. This doesn't smell great to me like the Goldenobles did but my birds like it so what do I know. Excellent value, good ingredients (no sunflower or Peanuts), just be sure to get an airtight container as pellets will spoil fast.

Sun conure loved it, she has to have formula because top beak is missing now for 5 years. Accident with another bird while I was at work, she's ok and is a happy girl. I usually give a little to our adult grey's as a treat, they didn't like it because they hate any change. Smells delicious, sun conure loves this.

For hand feeding baby birds this formula is superior. Consistency is good and ingredients are excellent.

A lot of these reviews say it mixes well but I'm having a really hard time with it there are dark chunks at the bottom no matter what I do so I just have to make bigger amounts and draw from the top. Makes me skeptical. Update: I made bigger doses to pull from the top so clumps weren't really a problem, but my newborn pigeons struggled digesting it and I lost all of them. Do not use, maybe for parrots but I don't think it works for "any bird"

I used to use Kaytee hand feeding formula but Ive never really liked the smell or consistency of the product. My birds seemed to like it but NEVER attacked the syringe like they did when I presented them with this Higgins product. All of the birds that Ive raised with Higgins have grown to to be very healthy and happy. I would HIGHLY recommend this hand feeding formula. Again, my lovebirds LOVE IT.
