I have no way of measuring, but it is quite thick, did not rip despite rough handling, including heavy stapling against wood. I used it to keep ground moisture out of a crawl space and it has worked perfectly. Under and on top of the plastic I have laid tar paper and that has not abraded or ripped the plastic. Good luck
