Good product! Works great on GX470 with ML Nav system!
Installed this last night in my '08 GX470 with Nav and Mark Levinson system. Install was pretty easy if you're familiar with removing a head unit. Sound quality really is as good as CD (used with Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge). Artist and track title show up on the screen and you can select the next track or go back to previous track using the steering wheel buttons, as described by seller. Works perfectly with Google Play, Pandora, or music on your phone! I really like it!Installing this adapter will have no impact the factory Bluetooth hands-free phone if your car has one already, which is why I bought the Vais over the Grom kit. Because you lose the ability to use the factory CD changer, I just removed it and covered the hole in the glove box with a piece of plastic. To mount the Vais box, I bought a strip of perforated steel ($5 from lowes) and cut it to the length of the OEM CD changer, then secured the box with double sided tape and a couple zip ties to the steel strip, then bolted the steel strip to the OEM CD changer mount behind the glove box. Pretty easy!Pros: CD quality audio, relatively simple install, no complications with OEM hands-free phone, no ugly microphone to mount.Cons: A little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Okay so I have a 2004 Lexus gx470 that has no music playing options other than the cassette player, CD changer and fm/am radio. I was looking for some kind of Bluetooth accessory because I get so tired of radio talk shows and constant Ads. I used a cassette aux adapter for a while and that worked, but the wire really made it look cluttery and after a while the cord would break. Then I moved on to FM transmitters and it worked for the most part but the low hissing sound of static drove me nuts because I love music more than the average person and good quality is something I need to have. Finally after looking at this several times but never having the money, tax season came through and I ordered this!First off all the wires are harnessed and ready for "plug and play". It's just a small silver box with the wires in the box. It does not come with a microphone and on my Samsung galaxy s6 edge, the call does not come through the speakers but that's not a huge problem for me because I don't want my passengers to over hear my phone calls and I don't really like to try and make calls from the road unless it's an emergency. So that wasn't a deal breaker in the slightest for me. It also says it's supposed to have text capabilities meaning it shows the song name and artist on the nav screen. That didn't happen for me but like I said, I listen to music so much that I don't need to see the name of the artist or song to know what I'm hearing. That might be something others want though so be sure to call tech support in case you want that feature and it's not working. For installation, this model is for LEXUS vehicles only, they do sell toyota compatible devices as well. The installation took a while because I was being really really delicate with removing all the electronics and unplugging stuff. I'd suggest buying dashboard removal tools as they help monumentally. For my 2004 gx470, getting everything plugged in wasn't difficult, but you should be mindful as to where you put the device. It has a USB port for charging capability, so if you want to use that, I'd suggest mounting it to the somewhere out of the way. But within reach. For myself, I don't use that port, so what I did was I took the panel off from underneath the steering wheel just above the pedals. There's a decent sized opening where you can mount the device using some standard Velcro you can get from Michael's or any hardware/arts and crafts store. It's been about three weeks and so far it hasn't fallen out or stopped working. It'll automatically connect to your phone and start playing music. I HIGHLY recommend getting this if you don't want to get a newer car, it works just as great!

Easy install, great results!
This unit was installed in a 2008 LX570. Super easy install of the main unit. The software allows wireless Android Auto, so navigation services are very easy to use through your phone. All applications work as expected and overall this unit was a great purchase. The following highlights some considerations when trying to achieve an OEM look, which is the primary reason I opted for this unit rather than an aftermarket product.-It was difficult to find a suitable location for the GPS antenna that would keep the interior as OEM looking as possible. With the wireless Android Auto feature, I opted not to install it. If the kit offered a GPS antenna splitter for the existing GPS antenna, it would really add value to the customer.-The provided microphone does a good job picking up your voice without additional effort; however, it looks pretty silly when installed. If the kit had a headliner speaker option, that'd be great. Then the whole install would look very clean and OEM. Although I dislike the microphone provided, I installed it as discretely as possible. The voice command feature was too good to sacrifice. I will be looking for and installing a headliner microphone in the future.-The provided USB cable can be inexpensively replaced with a flush mount USB cable to be installed anywhere you want. I found one the replaced an AUX plug that will never be used. The cable provide is a of good quality if you chose to use it.Well, I think that's about it. Again, this unit was a great purchase. If you still want to maintain OEM quality components for your head/navigation unit while adding features to your vehicle, this kit is what you are looking for.

GREAT PRODUCT
WORKS GREAT FOR THE CAR. SOUND IS BETTER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. ONLY REASON FOR NOT HAVING 5 STARS IS THAT ITS KIND OF A PAIN TO SETUP THE RADIO TO THE MODULE AFTER INSTALL AND THE CAR DOES HAVE TO BE TURNED OFF AND BACK ON EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE TO RESET THE MODULE AS IT WONT PLAY WITHOUT CUTTING OFF AFTER A MINUTE. EASY FIX JUST A PAIN SOMETIMES. GREAT PRODUCT OTHERWISE. ALSO NO SONG INFO ON DISPLAY AS ADVERTISED.

Relatively easy install in 2002 LS430 Mark Levinson
After finding a youtube video it was a relatively easy install. Existing cabling in car is pretty short so you do have to kind of work with hands in the dash. Found a place to securely stash it. Sound quality is good. Easy to configure and pair with phone and it does work with existing display (shows up as a minidisk player). Took maybe 90 minutes at a leasurely pace. Need 8mm and 10mm sockets and some plastic prybars to disassemble the center dash pieces. Far better than the FM transmitters and the cassette tape adapters.
