Dupli-Color Oxford White Exact-Match Automotive Paint for Ford Vehicles (8 oz.), Bundles with Prep Wipe (3 Items)

I bought this paint because I had my side mirror replaced and painted white for my Ford car. The mirror I bought was black but needed to be painted white! Great finish along with clear coat I bought as well!

Nèded to repaint replacement tailgate on my 2011 F250. Color is a perfect match

It's about the only product out there in a spray can for matching production paint. The cans are smaller than a regular can. I thought for sure 2 cans would complete my tailgate. It barely covered it and I press fed and primed with white primer. Im going to apply 2 more cans and then wetsand with 4-6000 before apply rustoleum turbo clear. Be advised you will not get any shine without a wetsand clear coat step. I'll prolly do 2-3 wetsand clear coats on top of these 4 cans of this duplicator and that is still going to be the BARE minimum to get what I would consider a durable shine.

A little pricey, but excellent quality paint. Produces a smooth even finish if applied properly (can warmed up, shaken well, and sprayed at 8” to 10” from surface. Fast drying and durable finish.

Adhesion seems fine so far. I haven't had it on long enough to give a durability rating. The color match was a little off, but close enough for what I needed it for. The quality of the spray nozzle was terrible. A week and uneven spray that caused a lot of banding and a lot of spitting and sputtering little drips all over, which caused even more wet sanding before laying on the clear. Every can was like that. When I started the clear coat, I started with Dupli-Color clear and it was the same horrible spray quality, and was adding a definite yellow tint. So I stopped, went to a local paint supply store (National Coatings & Supplies) and bought better. That's also where I bought the base coats I have sprayed in the past too, and they sprayed great (can't remember the brand off hand). I tried Dupli-Color this time because it was half the price. I won't make that mistake again. The other better paint at the supply store is well worth it.

This was as good a color match as you could ever expect. I am very happy with the results.

GOOD PAINT .POOR SPRAY CANS

It will need to be buffed out afterwards but that is easy with any over the shelf light buffing compound. I didn't comment on the durability as it was only sprayed on a couple of months ago.
