Fun Times
Hours and hours of fun with the kids, easy enough to jump right in but varied enough to not get bored. Quality of pieces were fine, good value for the money.

Easy to learn to and play
A very fun simple to play game for ages 8 and up. The money in this game is so satisfying to use, with an elegant feel compared to cheap cardboard in most board games. It plays pretty quick making it a good ice breaker for board game nights.

One of my favorite games
Machi Koro is an absolute delight! This charming card game is a quick and engaging way to pass the time. From the moment you start building your own little town, the excitement kicks in. The gameplay is easy to grasp yet full of strategic depth, ensuring each session is a unique experience. The variety of cards and the element of luck keep things dynamic and entertaining. Whether you're a casual gamer or a seasoned player, Machi Koro's mix of strategy and fun makes it a standout choice for game nights. It's a game that brings smiles and laughter with every roll of the dice.

Such a fun game - diet Catan
A fun, fast paced game that people who like Catan but don’t have time for Catan would probably like. Generates a healthy amount of game table conflict.

Fun, Quick Game That’s Easy To Learn
This game is quick to set up, easy to learn, fun, and fast to play. The premise of the game is very simple: Each player has cards face up in front of them with numbers on them. On their turn, each player rolls 1 or 2 dice. Any cards with the number rolled get activated, resulting in players receiving, losing, or stealing money. Then the player gets the opportunity to buy a card from the set of cards available to purchase, or one of four special cards required to win the game. The first player to buy all four special cards wins. If you play with the “variation” (I think it’s how the game is meant to be played and the default is an easy mode for your first session) where you shuffle the cards and only deal out a limited number of cards for the shop, and you put away the cards with the different card types separated (there’s only 3 types and they stay almost entirely separated during gameplay, so it’s not hard to do), the game takes less than a minute to set up and to clean up.

Fun game, but check the deck
My family was a bit hesitant to try this game at first, but they picked it up quickly once we started playing. While it looks a bit intimidating with all the cards laid out, it’s much less complicated than it seems. The gameplay flows smoothly, and it reminded me a bit of Dominion or even Settlers of Catan in some ways, which I really enjoyed. That said, I appear to be missing a single card. I can’t confirm if it was like that out of the box, but it hasn’t left the room where I unwrapped it, and we’ve only played once. I’d recommend counting the cards as soon as you open it to ensure the set is complete.

Fun
A really fun game to play and it wasn't too hard to learn after watching a video. And it is a great two player game

Machi Koro is a good addition to our collection because of the unique game play.
I bought Machi Koro to play with my 9 and 10 year old grandchildren. The game is easy to learn and there are multiple strategies to win. The only drawback is the amount of space that the card layout takes and the fact that it cannot easily be read from 4 angles around a rectangular table, but once you know what the cards are, it doesn't really matter. The cards are sturdy. We love board games; Machi Koro is a good addition to our collection because of the unique game play.

Do not purchase this expansion pack from Gamesmen, nor any game for that matter. They are super difficult to work with if you need to make a return because of their error. Avoid purchasing from Gamesmen at all cost. Warning, since no one else will tell you this, until after you purchase the expansion pack. EXPANSIONS PACKS WILL NOT WORK WITH MACHI KORO 2. No way to know this until after you open the expansion packs. No warning is given by Gamesmen till after you purchase, then you’re stuck with returning the game via your own expense. Shoddy way to do business.
