good socks
inexpensive white school socks, like all white school socks kids don't keep them clean for long and they can be difficult to get stains / marks out of them even with the best of washing machine liquids. After a month or two we just replace them with a new set, the old ones are washed and recycled as polishing cloths for school shoes.

For an older or taller child
Socks are great but my daughter is 6.5 and they only almost fit her legs, I have to turn the top down a little under the knee , they definitely wouldn’t fit a five year old unless they have very long legs. I would say my daughter is average height for her age.

VERY LONG
The socks are a lovely quality and have a lot of elasticity in them and give them longevity. After about four washes, I’m still not experiencing any shrinkage or discolouration. Please note these socks are longer than the average school socks. These are perfect for us. My daughter has ridiculously long legs and finding socks that are knee-high for her is extremely difficult and these are perfect. So if your child is of an average height, these will be too long.

Super soft socks
The sizing was spot on - I have size 4 feet. Also super soft and a lovely chocolate brown colour

Good rich colour, hold up VERY well, long length
Right off the bat, I’m going to have to add that these socks have a VERY tight elastic band - it does mean they stay up all day but it can be a little uncomfortable. My daughter complained that it felt like her calf was being squeezed. The colour is great, a very rich deep brown. I would say they’re slightly on the larger size as in they’re long (over the knee if you pull them all the way up) and the shoe size seems spot on if a little on the bigger size. All in all, would recommend 100%. At the school uniform shop, the exact same socks retail at considerably more for just 2 pairs!
