Where was this in the 90s?!
Just get it. Works beautifully. We have recently given my son our old legos that have been sitting for decades and this pries apart pieces that have been stuck together that whole time. Easy to use, wish I had one back in the day.

Not needed!
You receive a free device that does the same things when you buy any Lego model. Those are all plastic while this one has a metal blade (rarely used part). I also received an even better one in a recently purchased Chinese designed model sold by Yegg, Inc. through Amazon. Why buy this unless you “need” the dull blade (it is not a knife)?

Some reviews say you don't need this because the plastic ones are free, they are wrong! This is the BEST tool for getting smooth flat pieces apart. That being said its not the best tool for everything and has its limitations. There is no single perfect tool (yet) so if your a serious builder this is a must have addition to the lego toolbox.
