Very nice tiny tool kit but very useful. However, it does require a lot of practices in order to use them properly. Aparently both tools and cases are well-built though the cases I received are not the same colour (as shown in AD). Instead, the loop comes with a black case.

I received the correct set and these worked pretty well so far, however I did not get a leather case for the Chelsea filter as pictured.This is a fun set for hobbyist.The loupe is very well made, heavy, but it seems like mine is screwed on a bit too tight, it’s kind of hard to push it in and out.The dichroscope is great to distinguish colors on larger stones, but only the color... I tried it on a smaller Iolite and it’s having a hard time focusing on the stone, but on the larger sapphire table, it had not problem showing two different colors in the upper and lower window, the scope seems to have a hard time focusing, maybe I just need some time to get used to it.All in all, it’s a great portable fun set.

Compact size, fine optics. Very useful, compact set.

Items are pocket sized and good for travel.Cases cheaply made. Good beginner set. Simple instructions would be a nice addition.

I am very happy with my new set of tools. I am studying gem identification and I am using these to do work at home. The loupe works nicely. I still need to try out the Chelsea filter on more stones but the dichroscope works just as well as the one I use in class. I just need a couple more items and I will be able to identify just about any gem stone. I might be just a bit geeky but I really like being able to see the different colors in stones with the dichroscope especially when they are really different like violet and yellow.

Most of the set is just as advertised and works great for my gem inspections, the only draw back I have is that the loupe that came with the set is a 20x and not a 10x loupe. The 20x is still very clear and of good quality but much harder to use, the field of view is smaller there for making it harder to see with. On the plus side everything came in its own case which makes it better for carrying in my pocket.

I am learning to use the tools. The Hasting Loupe 10x is what I use so far. I love this piece as it shows me so much about the gems. I have not learned to use the other two yet. I am not sure what they show. I am reading Gem Identification Made Easy to learn how to use it. I bought the bundle. I am a beginner and was told that these are the three to start with.
