Excellent stone countertop sealer!
Excellent stone countertop sealer! I use Tenax Ager on granite countertops about once per year and our kitchen and bathrooms still look like new. This product seems to provide better protection than most of the other common sealers sold through the big-box stores. It's also a favorite of stonemasons and other artists working in stone (personal friends' recommendations). Be sure to follow directions on the label, however! This is a solvent-based wax sealer, so you apply it to a wet state, let it sit for only a couple of minutes, then wipe off any excess and buff. If you allow it to dry completely the surface will be "sticky" and hazy. The solution is easy - just re-apply Ager and wipe it off more quickly so that the wax is in the stone, not on the surface. Expensive, but excellent product!

Works Well, But….
I’ve used this twice now on our honed black granite. This most recent/second time just now, in early January. The previous application was in the summer/June of 2020. Even though indoors I’ll not apply again in the winter. As from my experience the cooler it is, the longer it takes to dry. The initial June application indoor temps were 72-75 degrees and it dried overnight/within 24 hours. This most recent application, indoor temps 66-69 and it’s taken a good 3-4 days ( even though I bumped up the heat). Installed by rag both times. Neither particularly “thick”. Still works wonderfully and truly restores the look of the stone, just better suited for summer time/warm temperature application.

Still a great product
I use this for multi-colored slate and it brings it back to life for 2+ years. If I had a wish not a complaint, it would that it dry faster. My average is California during the summer is 30 hours. Still a great product

This stuff is simply amazing
Simply amazing! We had a professional company come and clean and seal our travertine patio in Arizona. 4K $. It looked good for a month or 2. Now faded and looking like crap. I sealed other stone with Ager so I tried this on 2 sqft of this faded to white travertine outdoor patio. It looks almost like new the colors all came back and that was 2 years ago it still looks great even with the hot sun baking on it 365 days a year. I am now going to do my entire 1500 sqft patio with this it is going to be a lot of work but it will look amazing!

Ship a can that is not dented at the bottom & side.
I liked the product & it did the job however I am very unhappy that the can was all dented & out of shape to the point that I couldn't set it down on a flat surface. I was afraid it would spill everywhere so I had to hold it in hand which made it difficult to apply. So now I have to concoct something whereby Iit would sit flat so I don't have to hold it when I apply it the next time.

Works great on soapstone
We just had soapstone counters installed about 6 months ago. We loved them until we realized they literally need to be oiled weekly or they lighten up and show every water drop, spill, etc. We tried oil and wax. Both were messy and required weekly applications. We felt like the internet lied to us about soapstone and we hated the counters and were ready to get rid of them and lose $7k. Then I was referred to this product by someone on IG. This stuff is amazing! It’s been 3 months and the counters are still dark after 1 application. I use clorox wipes on them multiple times a day and they’re still dark. Highly recommend this stuff! I don’t like that it’s chemicals, you have to wear gloves when using it, and the smell is quite potent. But other than that, good stuff!

EASY and FAST
Ignore the negative reviews. Ager is easy to apply. You should ventilate, but the odor is not intense and disappears in an hour or two. If you are refreshing previously sealed material, you only need about 25% of recommended coverage amount.

Perfect for honed granite
Have a honed granite (Black Mist) that shows water spots if not color enhanced. This sealer/enhancer works beautifully, to darken honed granite so water spots dry up easily without marking, and seals to protect from acids/oils like an impregnator. Installer tested Miracle Sealents 511 impregnator, their color enhancer and Tenax Ager and there was no comparison on our slab. Tenax is expensive, but the quart will last you a lifetime.

Did a good sealing job on my quartzite countertop but didn't "enhanced" or make the countertop "look wet" at all.... This is the X product I have tried to make my countertop shiny again but it seems nothing will work around the kitchen sink area.... even after rubbing it first with etch powder. The etch disappeared with another product but the Ager didn't make it shine after. And it's pricy but will be using it again as a sealer
