I've not used a string action gauge before, preferring to rely on my eye, feeler gauges, a vernier gauge and - bizarrely - a couple of drill bits (1/16" and 3/32"), so this is a whole new experience. I must say it is a delight to use and far less hassle, with the white etched print on black making it super easy to read. I wouldn't now be without it. One quality feature I particularly like is the super smooth rounded edges that aren't going to scratch the finish on my new Martin. The leather pouch is also a nice touch.

Comes in a nice leather sleeve, obviously very well made (and a nice note from the maker inside). Used to check my frets are level and works very well.

A very well designed quality measurement tool for all fret and nut set-up jobs. Bought this to help final adjustment of a replacement nut on a mandolin - a unique feature allows string slot depth assessment. The metric version is particularly good value - economical and quick US to UK import.

Arrived fairly quick the leather case is a lovely touch think I will definately get a imperial one too in the future

I've got other similar tools, but I've always found them hard to get accurate measurements of the string action height. This isn't the case with the FretGuru2, it's a lot easier to see exactly how high the action isI've not really much use for the other features at the moment, although the fret height guage could be useful, although probably more so for a tech than an enthusiast user, that said, my new (to me) guitar had rather low frets, which would have been easier to measure with this tool rather than digital callipersThe fraction/decimal/metric conversion chart on the back is a nice touch and will save a lot of messing around with google trying to figure out metric measurements from fractions of an inch

High quality gauge well worth the extra money compared to the cheap Chinese made ones
