It looks and performs just like a brand-new Apple Macbook, with smooth performance and excellent battery life. Packaging was secure and professional, making it ideal for a Christmas gift. After reading reviews on product quality, I was hesitant on making a purchase. I am glad I decided to take the risk. I received an excellent product, shipping was super fast! USB ports work great, no issue with charging, it is light weight and easy to tote around, it is an older model so I can not download certain apps, but that is not the sellers fault. Came with a long charging cord & charging block in great condition, does not overheat while charging or using. There is one small dent on the stop of the MacBook, but very minute in comparison to what I received as a whole. No scratches on the body or screen of the MacBook, keyboard looks and works great & the keyboard back light is bright & also adjustable and the speakers are LOUD 🥰 Satisfied with my purchase and worth the money I spent on it. I have bought refurbished/renewed electronics, for myself and others, from Amazon and other places for years and never had a problem until this transaction. This product was described by the seller as "Renewed - Excellent" but was in Poor condition. The laptop had three very visible scratches on the outside cover, with additional scratches on the Apple logo. Worse yet, the backlit keyboard had MAJOR defects as 4 keys (A, S, E and D) had the letters completely worn off (and were illuminated as unreadable white blobs). Worse yet, a sticker had been haphazardly placed over the top of the D key. Not only was the sticker not even centered on the key, but a sticker on a key of a backlit keyboard disables the backlight functionality for that key. Horrible. I have owned a lot of computers over the years and have never experienced keys wearing off on a keyboard. This thing was either abused or defective from the start. I have two laptops that I use to run my business. Both bought refurbished or used (without being refurbished) and both have been great for multiple years and still have no physical defects despite a lot of travel and heavy use. Overall, VERY disappointing and deserves a 1-star review, only because I cannot give it a zero. I received a return authorization and will be sending it back for a refund. This disappointing experience also resulted in my daughter not having a computer for her first day of high school orientation. I’m buying another one from a different seller today, so at least she will have it for the first day of class next week. There should be some sort of quality control process for allowing sellers to market renewed products under the Amazon name. Maybe there is and this one just slipped through the cracks. Update as of 9/10/24, I have still not received my refund or any communication from Amazon or the seller.

The laptop arrived in a bubble bag from FedEx. Inside that bad was a box. Inside that box was the laptop which was inside a bubble wrap bad. Outside of that bag was the rolled up charger. I personally think they should have bubble wrapped the charger as well but thank god nothing happened. Now to explain the photos as what I didn’t like. The laptop came wrapped with some type of protective skin. Very shiny and cheap looking. But quite thick. It was NOT perfectly applied, and due to this the corners were hanging off. Which then got stuck on the bubble wrapping which began peeling the skin off the laptop. See photos It didn’t make a huge difference because I wouldn’t want the skin on it either way because it looks so cheap and tacky with it on. I peeled it off to also confirm the ACTUAL condition of the body because they claim EXCELLENT in the description. I must say the body is in immaculate condition. Looks new. Not a single noticeable scratch anywhere on the back. It’s like it was in a case from day one. There’s also a skin on the bottom, but I left that alone because it’s applied properly and I anticipate that will come in handy to protect the bottom when place on various surfaces. The touch pad and keyboard is it good shape. This laptop was lightly used. Hardly any sign of wear. I wish the touchpad more closely matches the body though. But that’s probably an Apple issue. I went ahead and updated it. It’s relatively quick with minor hiccups. It’s running Sequoia 2024. I installed windows on it, as it’s intended as a gift and I want it to be optimally useful to the receiver. The 1TB is split down the middle for both OS. Windows 11 works amazingly well on this thing. Too bad I had to trick Bootcamp into installing it as it’s not officially supported. But otherwise, all the drivers work and ZERO issues. Some outstanding things I particularly like. The battery life is excellent. The speakers are LOUD as hell. The keyboard sound and feeling is orgasmic. The charger is type C and the cable is detachable. The gold color is just outstanding. Overall this is an excellent laptop and I would have given it 5stars if it wasn’t for the poor presentation of the skin and also a keyboard burn in on the bottom right of the screen. I would buy again and recommend.

Debated on buying this computer for a couple of weeks. Finally buckled up and bought it. It’s wonderful came quick and was packaged safely! There was minor scratches and a little dent on the outside but runs wonderfully! Definitely recommend it for the price!

The product looks great, but the charge cord is the wrong one

Nunca había comprado un artículo reconstruido y tenía mis dudas. Hasta el momento, esta computadora ha funcionado correctamente. Por el precio, me ahorré un buen dinero.

La verdad pensé que vendría un poco más utilizada o con más ciclos de batería pero la Mac vino prácticamente como nueva, vino con 160 ciclos de batería y literalmente sin ningún tipo de rasguño, hasta me trae una mica de pantalla integrada lo cual se me hace increíble, cabe destacar que no está incluida pero se me hace un detalle hermoso que lo hayan dejado, el cargador es genérico por lo que les recomiendo compraste uno original, en general le doy un 10/10 a la compra.

I am truly not one to leave bad reviews and have always left good reviews, but this is horrific—the products they are selling. 1. They are damaged and used. 2. The adapter is old, not Mac, and unreliable. 3. The computer heats up. 4. The vendor is justifying using "renewed" when, in actuality, it is old and used. 5. The computer is slow. 6. The processor is old and limited; downloading new software takes up most of the memory. 7. The past user cannot be erased, so at any time, all your current info can be erased. 8. The camera and mic are subpar. 9. The keyboard is so worn that pressing return is a challenge. Sellers should clearly mark it as USED and provide accurate images, as a computer is more than just a device—it is an essential tool for many. Time lost to misrepresentation is more than an inconvenience; it professionally paralyzes individuals, causing unnecessary disruption and setbacks. Customers have the right to accurate information—that is the law and the foundation of ethical business.
